Request for Paisley Park Museum - Official Application

http://www.ci.chanhassen.mn.us/2016-24

Seems that the Estate has submitted an application for a Paisley Park Museum.

That's great if that's what Prince would have wanted. Again, there's no will so I assume his sister decided to go ahead with it since she's in charge of his estate being next of kin. Personally, I'll pass on the idea. Sorry but making a museum out of the place he died alone in doesn't appeal to me. Yes, I know it's a place where he created music and hosted events, etc. It was a happy place but he also died there alone and that doesn't appeal to me. I do wonder what they are going to do with his private bedroom? Isn't there still an investigation? I guess PP will become the next Graceland.

I think keeping it alive with music is important. Live concerts, recording Albums etc Hopefully teaching youngsters some musical skills. It's hard to deal with and I don't know how I feel. Obviously I was distraught with Prince's death and I would wish for nothing more than it not to have happened but also if ever he died I would not want him suffering in hospital unless they could save him. Paisley Park was his life, his ultimate achievement that allowed him to create the music that changed my life. I just don't know how to feel.

I don't know where Elvis died but I assume Graceland was his home and they decided to make a museum out of it. In regards to making PP a museum, right now it doesn't sound appealibg to me, but perhaps in the future I'll change my mind. Again, this is just my opinion. I was expecting people to criticize me for feeling this way and call me a debbie-downer, but I didn't get that so thank you for understanding.

I think everyone has the absolute right to feel how they want to and if that changes over time that's up to you. Don't be down on yourself. You are not alone wink

For the museum to be profitable, they'll need to jazz it up with media.

Lucky for them, a lot of the equipment and content necessary is already there.

It'd be a crime if there wasn't some kind of permanent dance space with light effects and music. If I go to Paisley Park, I gotta shake something.

And yes, I'd like a statue -- eventually.

Paisley Park really has everything needed for a museum, and then some.

Yes nurse, Elvis did die at Graceland, actually the spot where he passed is above the front door as U enter. eek It's his private bathroom upstairs. So the floor of the bathroom where he was found is the ceiling above the front door. disbelief I've been there and it's actually a wonderful place 2 visit but, there is a feeling of a palpable kind that there is a presence missing. It's going 2 be the same at PP but, I know it's going 2 be a whole lot worse. sad
