In memory of Prince

Unfortunately, the "Sometimes it Snows in April" thread does no longer generate many postings.

It may be because for newcomers of this site the subject title could be a bit vague.

How is everyone doing after his passing? How are you coping? What are your best memories of the legendary Prince?

It's still very devastating for many of us worldwide.

Let's share our feelings and thoughts about our beloved Prince and dedicate our words to the one and only Prince because we all know that there will NEVER be another.

I'm sad he's gone,,,he was such a talent, he did it all. I feel he had a true connection to God and am so sorry he went out the way he did. I believe he was simply trying to manage his pain and it breaks my heart that he was given medicine that his body could not handle. I'm sad he was all alone when he passed none of it makes sense. Why was he all alone who gave him the drugs and why would he take too much, for someone as articulate as Prince it makes no sense at all.

It is getting worse for me because I am finally accepting it. I don't go five minutes without thinking of him. I pray to him and ask him for guidance often. He is like a saint to me. We were so lucky to share the earth with him. He was a vessel for god.

It's still very much heartbreaking that our beloved Prince left this earth.

A year ago, none of us would have imagined ourselves without Prince.

Many of us awaited for his announcement of his next visit to our city in whichever country we were at.

Many of us awaited the date of his next album.

Many of us imagined him performing, writing and recording music on a daily basis at all hours of the day or night.

And now he is gone...

I was driving to work the other day during a thunderstorm listening to Purple Rain. The part in the movie when the symbol hits and he kinda throws his arm up right before he starts singing "oooo hooo ooo ooo (hard to type what he sings haha)", right at that precise moment of the song a huge flash of lightning flashes across the sky. It really made me feel him watching over us. It's sad that he is no longer here, but I'm glad we have the comfort of his music.

I'm not a human
I am a dove
I'm your conscious
I am love
All I really need is to know that
You believe

Every time I think I'm getting better, I have a set back. The more I listen to his music, the more I watch his videos, the more I read those articles about the stupid ass drug Fetanyl, the more it brings back the pain. It's a never ending cycle I'm on...
