Why doesn't iTunes have all of Prince's albums?

From what I can tell iTunes only has Prince albums that are under license to Warner Brothers. So basically missing everything between Come and Art Official Age. Anyone know why? Tidal has most, if not all of this stuff. I understand why streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music have next to nothing but why iTunes? Just all licensing nonsense?

I wonder the same thing. In the UK iTunes, the only album in between Come and AOA is The Vault: Old Friends For Sale. Which I find odd since it was a WB release. But Chaos & Disorder isn't on there. Hmmmmm
The Sampler Set is great!

Simply, some of his albums people weren't buying, so they stopped selling them. Dollars and Cents.

That's not true - it's a licesning issue, not a matter of sales.

That makes no sense. For You is available but The Gold Experience (which contains one of Prince's biggest singles) isn't.

Because Prince didn't cut a deal with iTunes or anyone else to have them there.

Most of those records have never been available digitally. It was only when P cut his exclusive deal with TIDAL that they became available.

They have some albums on there between those times.

Yes this too. However, I will say that they had Planet Earth, 3121 and Musicology on there before. I brought songs from those albums from iTunes.

Stand corrected. I had such a hard time finding some of his music except maybe on vinyl or cassette, then I read somewhere that a lot of it was unavailable..my bad!

What's the file type? I know iTunes doesn't support FLAC.

You can choose between MP3 or FLAC.

And you can convert FLAC to mp3 or Apple Lossless.

If you type "FLAC on iTunes" in Google you'll get this little tutorial box.
