I must admit I had always been intrigued as to why the Cream video (the one taken from the full VHS with Prince at a TrianStation) had always been allowed onto Youtube since 2012 whilst other vidoes were constanly removed. It now seems the guy responsible has said

"You're the first I'm giving a reply. This is allowed because I composed all the music in the intro portion of the piece with one small exception of a snippet from Cream itself. But as a result, I own the rights to the music up until the music in the video for Cream actually starts. I agreed with Prince to not monetize the video (remember I worked with him). I also did the same for Diamonds and Pearls.."

He also gives a few cryptic comments about working with Prince.

I guess that agreement must be a little frustrating as due to the view he would have earned about 25,000 Dollars but it's nice to see that Prince was happy for the guy to put his work out there alongside Prince's.
