best 3rd eye version of "Something in the Water"

I was listening to 2 versions of "Something in the water " earlier.I have both the 3rd eye girl paisley park rehearsal and the LIVE version from Botanique .i love the 3rd eye girl versions better than the 1999 album version .im just wondering what's the best Live version of the song by 3rdeyegirl ? I'm looking a more rock sounding version with a lot of guitar

There is a version from 1984 (rehearsals for birthday gig at First Avenue) that has lots of guitar - more and heavier than any version of 3rdeyegirl...

The one from the birthday gig itself is quite tame compared to the rehearsal.

To me the best is howver the soundcheck of April 7, 1985 in Miami - instrumental, but lots of guitar after the saxophone solo by Eric Leeds.

As for 3rdeyegirl, I like the one in Amsterdam, Ziggo Dome (May 25, 2014) the best. But maybe that's because I was there myself wink

AMSTERDAM one is ethereal. Best one EVER, IMLTHO.

Editing this to correct it to MANCHESTER. I don't know why I wrote AMSTERDAM.

MANCHESTER. He posted the latter half of it on YouTube.

Best version of "Something In The Water" that 3RDEYEGIRL did with Prince is from February 2014 at Shepherd's Bush. It's something about Prince's stage presence-the acknowledgment of the band at the end , his stage banter and demeanor. Guitar playing wasn't that impressive but his singing and interaction with the band made up for it.

For me it has to be the concert at the Manchester Academy, UK 2014.

Would you let me wash your hair?

.
Me too. On the Saturday night - the one there's a video for. Biased because I was there but it was one of those transcendental moments you have 3-4 times in your life - at some point in that song. Happy sad wanting to cry but not able to and just being out of time and just there, nothing else but you and the music. I have no idea why something in the water hits you like that.
.
The last time I had been playing headers and volleys in Hutton when I was 21. Then holding my new born son in my arms the November of 2014. I await the next - if I'm to have one… I wouldn't say I'm spiritual but every now and then. Fuck me sideways!

Love you all Purple Hippies. He's still with us. All round. Believe. 0+>

This all applies to me, even the headers and volleys (in Liverpool instead tho)
.
I was also at the Manc Acadamy show, about 10 feet away from the stage and it was one of the best nights of my life. I told my wife that when I got home but she wasn't best pleased as she'd been left with our 2 wk old baby all day n night.
.
Anyway it was an unbelievable version and highlight of the show. Everyone was into the chant and his banter (what was your sweater doing on backwards). I love listening to the boot even more so cuz I was there.

I've seen the Manchester one not this one. I'd love to see it.

I have a bit of a problem listening to Hannah messing up the drums, and being unable to keep it in the pocket. Also Donna does far too many cliches with her guitar, even though she can handle it pretty damn well. She just sounds too predictable. Ida is great though. Not trying to be a bad person or anything. But musically it doesnt do enough for me. Especially when they're playing with Prince.
