The Mansion Formerly Known As Prince's (& others ?)

The Mansion Formerly Known as Prince's - in Toronto - complete with purple driveway, pool, tennis court and FULL HAIR SALONG - has been on the market since 2014 - for a cool 12mil! eek faint

Wasn't sure if I could post the link so just posting the photos - they are from Huffington Post though if anyone wants to check out the article, just google smile

If someone wants to lend me some cash so I can snag this beauty that Prince lived in, 2004-2009.

I was just curious if he still had Paris location? Spain? And Turks & Caicos and what the fate of those properties were.

Back in 2010 I spent 3 or 4 days recording and mixing in a studio nearby called Metalworks. It turned out that a good chunk of the Musicology album was recorded there, because it was the nearest pro studio to this house. There's a plaque for it on the wall, as well as a few other fantastic records that were made or worked on there including GNR's "Use Your Illusion"

So although I've never been to Paisley or Sunset Sound in LA, I can at least say I've worked in one studio where Prince spent a lot of time biggrin cool

Man, that is kool! I like GNR that is intersting info. I am sure most orgers know but what kinda music do you perform? Were you inspired to play due to Prince?

PS: Yes Prince's homes are nice, but this one is sharp.

I read that too! That a lot of musicology was recorded in canada which is super groovy! Extra cool that you have even worked in that same studio! I'll put it on the things to see on my next T-Dot visit smile

nod The kitchen does seem a little unoriginal compared to some of the other aspects of this expansive home. Still, I wouldn't complain. At least it doesn't have 70s wallpaper lol

I agree. Super interested to know if the other properties he owned are still in his name, have already been sold or what their fate is too. Sure had great taste biggrin

I've only see a few photos of that one. The exterior was pretty. He was wooing his princess after all, so does seem not outlandish that it was less his tastes and perhaps something she liked. smile

I spend a lot of time in Paris and would love to see pictures from his Paris home. He had such good taste. I love his Spanish home too, except the peach colours used, but the house itself is beautiful.
