Double bass dislike?

Considering the amount of various styles of bands and music produced, I don't know for sure, but I can only think of a single track which sounds like a double bass is used for a section. Am i talking shit? Does anyone really care? Just sonething that came to me

I'd have to listen again Strollin maybe?

I'm not sure if he was ever sighted playing anything other than 4 string bass.?? 5, 6, 7 string bass NEVER, maybe on recordings but live? Ha, he used to make jokes about it too.

Double bass used on Aladin's Palace maybe. I don't recall which song but I did think it was something u don't see often. Also around the early 2000s hitnruns it may have been used - around the time he stopped playing darling nikki. Love you purple family. Xoxox.

Rhonda started using an upright bass in 2000 when she returned to the NPG, she'd use it on stuff like Come On, then as he moved in to jazz mode on the One Nite Alone tour she used it on all sorts of tracks.

the partyman video does have a double bass in it though. He didn't mind the looks of them at least. As to not liking it, it's a hard instrument to master, relative to a bass guitar. He might not have run into many musicians he played with that could do it and could do it justice.

Or, he simply never saw how he would fit it in his music.
