What Did You Like About His Personality?

He was a fun guy, respecting women and animals. Standing up for those in need and worshipping love. Also very private, but not ridden by fame.

Anything else?

I have only been able to piece together his personality by watching endless interviews and by reading accounts of interactions with him from some of you and those that work with him, but from those sources I LOVE his comical (sometimes sarcastic side), he seems to be a straight shooter and I suspect he likes others to be that way as well. I also like the fact he seems to be a "what you see is what you get" type of person. I do not think he tried to be mysterious just he was not going to compromise his own personal self or those he thought the most of by letting the general public know every little detain about him.

I also forgot that he was very intelligent and knowledgeable. He must have read around a lot.

very complicated, funny, mysterious, intelligent, cool, MJ might have lost a lot of fans just for the fact that Prince seemed so much cooler and nothing else.

His comedy and his heart. He found a place in his heart for those who were in need.
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

I thought he was cool intelligent and mysterious. He seemed like someone you wanted to hang out with because you knew it would just be interesting and he was like nobody you knew. He was different and complex. A sweet charming guy with a sense of humour and seemed to know something we didn't know. Also he was able take you to a place you didn't even know existed. Creative and just on another plane. Powerful.

More but I'll stop there.
he is going to be missed.

Definitely his sense of humor. He seems like someone you wouldn't expect to be funny, but is actually hilarious. I love that. I especially love the way he loved, if that makes sense. When he loved something or someone it showed, full force. Whether it be the music or his significant other. There's no doubt he put his heart into everything he did. heart

I loved his Faith, it was unwavering. I loved his quick wit and impishness. I loved his intellect and the way he would think deeply about a topic of interest, which showed in his articles and during his interviews when questioned about various topics. His tenderness and his Love. The one thing that seemed to be at the core of Prince from his beginning until the end was Love 4 one another, it was obviously something he believed in with his whole being. Yes, he could be controlling and probably domineering, and definitely driven, but it is because of those traits that he was able to protect his legacy and privacy and image for as long as he did, and also why he became such a star. And because those traits brought him to where he was, yes, I even love those traits about him.

I loved his bravery in the face of criticism and ridicule. I loved his self confidence, determination, his passion. I loved his evolution into the more mature and self aware man that he became in the end.

The fact that he was a self made man. And the fact that he created an entire 'Prince' world for us to enjoy: escapism.

Having actually never met him I couldn't presume to know his true personality. I recall once during an interview he was asked, "You're really cute. Do you know that?" He instantly giggled and put his hands over his face and seemed genuinely flattered and flustered. He seemed so sweet and innocent. I loved seeing that vulnerable side because it reminded me there's a real person under that cooler-than-cool exterior. I think he worked very hard for a long time to keep from appearing too human to the outside world. I loved his humble generosity. I loved his loyalty to his hometown and his home state. I loved his work ethic. I loved when he let his guard down and gave us a little glimpse occasionally of his silly, fun side. It's times like those that his fans could feel a connection with Prince on a deeper level. When he seemed just like any one of us on any given day goofing around.

First thing I learned about him was his humor, then cleverness, intelligence.

He had to have humility since God chose him, bravery (that's a big one), independent, not lazy (need to find a better word), innovative, creative, soft hearted.

That's all I can think of right now...

I always thought he was a very good looking fella but not everyone does. Just last week a customer of mine said that he was so ugly that you know he had to be talented because he didn't make it on looks. Oh well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and everyone has different ideas, particularly with other ethnic groups, of beauty.

I loved that he loved God, and didn't care who knew it, didn't like it, or whatever. His faith in God never wavered, and I loved that about him.

This.. I loved seeing glimpses of his vulnerabilities... I think like myself he had a heart of gold...and striving to protect oneself can bring out a sinister side of us but underneath it all is a genuinely loving person ... I loved seeing him laugh when Jay Leno pretended to be a security guard.. he laughed when Jay told him it was being taped and pointed to the camera.. he had the laugh of an innocent child ... pure

The fact that he wasn't afraid to be himself. That's certainly what attracted me to him at first. I'm different, he's different. I discovered Prince during a very hard time in my life. I was getting bullied and his music helped me get through it and made me comfortable with being different.

Back when I first became a fan I really loved his dirty mind and his boldness but now I really love his humbleness, sense of humor, and his intelligence. Man I love intelligent men heart

He seemed to be really driven by the concept of love, more specifically, love for one another - at least in the grand sense. His own personal relationships, who knows, but championing love for one another was a great driving force for him. Bringing people together - admirable.

Legendary work ethic.

Tunnel vision dedication to presenting himself however he wanted. (Fashion faux pax? You say... Who wears that? I do... What the heck was that song about? It's whats inside of me...)

A maverick, through and through.
