Whats your Favorite Tribute Magazine thus far

There have been several tribute/retrospective magazines published over the last 6 weeks, which ones have you read?

Time

Entertainment Weekly (not entire book, but great

Conde Nast

People

Rolling Stone

Ebony

The list goes on, I assume there are more than I just listed...

I thought the article in Entertainment weekly, which happened to be an endearing story on the writers encounter with Prince, was a delightful read. I'm through most of the Conde Nast now, and there are some great stories and interviews in there, including a 1990 interview that was featured in Details magazine entitled "his royal shyness". Another good one from the Conde Nast is "Soup With Prince."

I'm excited to dive into Rolling Stone next, as it features many past interviews and article from over the years.

Let me know which ones I should read and what you all enjoyed the most.

Bought three, still can't get myself to read or look at them yet. Maybe in a few months.

Thanks for sharing! Track down the Conde Nast and Rolling Stone, as they are like revisiting the past, because the articles are as they were when he was alive, which is easier for me emmotionally....

I have 9 magazines but I haven't been able to bring myself to read any of them. Maybe one day I'll be able to.

$15 - $16 for a magazine is ridiculous. I bought People and Rolling Stone and thats it. I saw the Time issue and it looked nice but I couldnt make myself pay for it.

I have Time, People, RS, Essence, and the Mirror Collection tributes. I've gotten thru Time and Essence so far. Time is lengthy and wordy with plenty of pics. Essence is a beautiful tribute just not as much substance which was fine. The written pieces were all lovely and there are lots of pics too. So the Time one was more "work" to get thru and the Essence one was just a nice, breezy stroll thru Prince's career.

I've found a couple tribute magazines on eBay for a few bucks cheaper than in stores. For example, I found the Rolling Stone one for $7 (free shipping). Regular price was $13.99 in my area.

If you're in the US and have a Sam's membership, they have a handful of tribute mags in store for 30% off cover price. I picked up the Rolling Stone tribute mag for $9.99.

I liked Conde Nast because it felt less like they were out to get some quick cash. All the others I bought too. Ebony is the worst for me since they printed an interview that Prince did not want published. Add to that the fact that it wasn't even an interesting interview.
