This sounds good.

.

Was also thinking it would be good if there was a somewhere we could link to a flickr type photo site where people could upload and share their photos from concerts etc. Sure there's lots of people who have photos from the concerts they went to as well as lots who don't due to the photo bans that were often chosen.

.

not sure if PrinceVault or this site would be up for assisting something like that?

The ear wraps he wore? The person who designed and made them still does and sells them on her website, which you can find if you Google "Prince ear wraps." They're quite expensive. The crescent one with the diamond-looking inset jewels goes for like $400+ for each ear.

There are a handful of site-only MP3s from the 2002 NPGMC site back available for download, too, including Cybersingle:

This is so cool, thanks to all involved. A positive add to Prince's legacy.
Be great if Prince's estate tie this site in with a new legacy site. One with archive content (recordings etc) and news on remasters/ vault material etc cool

Discovered it online while perusing Morris Day's facebook page yesterday. Also a twitter by the name of @PrinceBot started randomly following me on twitter yesterday. I believe it was also showing links to the page as well.

For some reason perusing the site makes me emotional. I think because I was deep in the fam-life and going to all of those early websites really helped a pre-teen/early teen Nikki find herself. It's like looking at reminders of my adolescence. I guess it's how older fans feel when they watch Purple Rain or remember buying their first P record. It's also a reminder that the only sites that were consistent were the fansites which is why we used them so much in the first place. neutral

I had that Interactive Cd-Rom! Wore that thing out, wish I knew what happened to it. Back then there were a lot of Cd-Rom music "games", I used to even subscribe to one Cd-Rom service that sent CDs with games and new single releases on it! I don't remember the name of them. I also remember that my first PC came with a CDRom full of music, with Mariah Carey and Indigo Girls and I loved it! lol

So much nostalgia I can't take it...

As a newer fan I never saw his websites. This is SUPERCOOL.

Weird to think his first website debuted sixteen months before I was born. And all the NPG gear! biggrin

"He wanted it to be like the old game, Myst, but NPG style." YES! Love it! nod
The image of Prince playing Myst... lol

My 11yr old techie son is digging deep into this. He is a new Prince fan and loves the "old school" websites! He already changed his screensaver to a Lotusflow3r insipred graphic he designed. I'll be spending my evening traveling back in time too. lol

This is the most awesome thing EVER, I can't thank enough the people who made those sites for sharing their archives with us! hug

I was a member of and/or visited all those sites back then, the revived memories are priceless.

And a lot of the little sound samples spreaded over the sites were thought to be lost forever until today...

I look 4ward to having some free time to re-explore all the websites in details.
