Thank you so much for making this video and sharing with us. I grabbed tissue before it started because I knew I'd need it, and I did. It's so bittersweet to see all the outpouring of love for him, I hope he can feel it wherever he is. It comforts me to know all of us miss him so much.

But again thank you, I'm going to post it in a Prince-devoted Facebook group I'm a part of, I know they will love it. heart bheart heart

I went to Minneapolis a week after Prince passed to pay my respects. I'm a video and film producer so I took a small dslr that my dearly departed friend Neil Burnie (another giant spirit) gave me the last time I saw him and filmed my entire two day experience. From that, I have produced a 15 min documentary called Hometown Hero about the way the city has reacted to Prince's death. I wanted to treat it as if it was a eulogy as told by the people of Minneapolis.

I purposely avoided his more popular tracks and used many lesser known instrumentals and other tracks to drive the narrative. His talent knew no limits and the music fits quite well. Look out for the Bermudiana flowers I laid at Paisley Park. The story of that flower is kinda fitting and all.

This is also partly my birthday present to Prince and a gift to the city. Anyway I hope ya like it!

Oh and read the blurb before you watch and please, please share it!

I know I am just piling on here, but I feel obligated to also say, wow, what an incredible job you did with this video. Thank you for using your talents and taking the time to do this. I like many on here, may have gotten past the crying everyday period, but whew, this certainly got the tear ducts back in full swing!! But thank again

I am so glad many of you like this video. It's been a labour of love so to speak. It's also been a pretty stressful period once I uploaded it because I came down with some weird sort of depression afterwards.

It's such a sad realization that Prince is gone. I have watched so many of these bootleg and fan clips on YT recently and I just can't believe all that immense talent is gone. I'm rather sad that I'll never be ble to take any friends to his shows.

Having said that, I did a quick re-edit a couple of days ago and added a nice surprise at the end. Again, thanks everybody biggrin

Hi Everyone,

I’ve been a fan of Prince since I was 5. I remember watching Purple Rain & wanting to be Appolonia, because to me, that meant I was his girlfriend. Someone mentioned in the video how blessed we are to live during the same time as Prince, and couldn’t agree more with that statement. His music was always in the around; the soundtrack to my life.

This video is very touching. Thank you!

I've been deliberately avoiding this because I already know it will be beautiful and will have me sobbing.

I'll watch it, I know I will, but it's just too soon for me.

Maybe at the end of summer.

I got through it, it captured everything i've tried to share with people here. I moved to MPLS. in 1990 at 23, back then i felt that if it was good enough for Prince it's good enough for me and i haven't left- April snowstorms and all.
