I read an old article where Anna Fantastic claimed she shared a bed with Prince but there was no sex. This was during their time together in 1988-1991.

If I'm not mistaken, Anna was born in 1973 and would have been 15 years old in 1988 when she was first seen with Prince, who was 30.

I know Prince has a history of dating barely legal girls, from Carmen Elecktra to Nona Gaye to Mayte Garcia, who became his wife.

Not sure, I think she first met him when she was 15/16 but the sharing a bed story I read was from when she was 17 in 1988/89 and he was waiting until she turned 18 to do anytihng with her.

Apparently she was the one really pushing to do stuff with him when she was underage but he refused every time.

And yeah, I did find his tendency to date really young women a little unnerving. I think the only one he dated who was near his age was SHeila E. Ironicaly, he never married her, but they seemed to know each other really well. Honestly, I think he should have married her. But maybe she was just too much for him. She doesn't strike me as the type to put up with his nonsense. SHe'd make him take several seats with that crap. lol

I think the question is did he break any laws, it sounds like didn't.

When Prince was getting older, it did look abit seedy when he was with these women less than half his age, but that's what most people would do if they had that opportunity that their fame/money gives them, but it does feel abit grubby when you put him in the same group as Rod Stewart/Bill Wyman etc.

Can I just chuck this in there and add that the age of consent in Minnesota is the same as here in the UK which is 16 so as long as he was either in the UK or Minn if he did do anything with her when she was under 18 but over 16- it would still be legal? I mean I'm not 100% sure of what the law is but the age of consent is still the age of consent right?

I mean I don't doubt that he waited until she was officially an adult (18) but yeah...

I don't really get your point? he waited till she was 18 before he took her to Minneapolis, the age of consent is 16 in the UK (where I am), so if he didn't want to wait he could have just come to the UK, someone posted that Minneapolis is also 16, so after her 16th Birthday it was legal.

Whether it was moral for a 30+ year old pop star to whisk off a young impressionable girl is debatable, my point is it was seedy behaviour and the older he got, the more seedy it looked.

It's information on what statutory rape would consist of since this is basically what the dilima about Prince & A Fantastic is about. Prince did not cross the lines sexually before she turned 18. So he was not guilty of anything.

Now there is some parts to it that if someone pushed could have gone wrong for Prince in the States. I don't know about laws in England Spain or Italy (her ethnic makeup)
But there are parts that talk about coercion of different degrees. I think if Prince was a regular joe shmoe he could have been in trouble. Even on the implication. So as a Prince fan I still find it kinda seedy. Looking at the pictures of him in Europe with Anna Fantastic, they looked like a couple.

She looked kinda grown, so maybe no one thought otherwised.

Could that be the age of consent for people who are 16? I believe on the books in many place for teens to have sex under a certain age it is against the law
