The War

So I haven't listened to The War in awhile.

Wow. Prince.
Surprise, surprise.
Another treat. Another trick.

Quite possibly. Pretty legit claim. I was really enjoying it. The lyrics are eerie now.

I falsely recalled it not being as rich. I'm glad I listened to it. I hope he just accepted the chip and is living in the underground metropolis.

I don't know but the guitar solo is absolutely amazing. Anyone who hasn't heard it should check it out.

And probably his most radical politically...anyone who calls him "conservative" should take a listen. He was so fearless.

It's an album (I consider it an album, so did Prince at some point) that the general public as well as most critics have never heard. Hopefully Prince's "hidden" catalogue will be rediscovered at some point.

His voice is compelling and The War has the most killer breakdown of any Prince song ever, but it's not just that.

I think it's phenomenal that somebody would or could actually play the battle of Armageddon on a guitar for starters, and if you listen closely he's channeling that kind of energy. This song takes Gil Scott Heron's "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised" to a whole 'nother level.

On another level it describes an internal battle that one wages within themselves. IMO The War is his most mind blowing song on multiple levels and that's what I like. biggrin

Prince believed a lot of "on the fringe stuff", underground cities, chemtrails, astral projection, and many many more. Love that he wasn't afraid to share all this regardless of judgement.
