And I feel like you guys still haven't done all the Time albums. And maybe do Glamorous Life, and Vanity and Appolonia 6 albums.

Best tribute I've heard so far. Deeply moving, touching, sincere, and healing. Thank you for doing this. I'm sending the link to the show to share with others feeling the loss. Well done. Keep it up, fellas.

An extremely well judged and touching tribute, thanks guys.

I found Playa's story particularly moving, just goes to show how you can never second guess how deep someone's appreciation of Prince and his music goes.

Am glad you're keeping going, like the Org, P&B are now an essential part of the purple community!

Very heartfelt and tender and loved the bit about your favourite gigs. Rob I loved your tale about your wife at the airport trying to get your attention, when you were in an agitated state. And I know "Prince has died" would have been the LAST thing you wanted to hear.

.

I was wondering how you guys would react and it was good to see you are going through what all of us are going through here. Especially as today (As I write this) its June 7th and as you all know, Prince would be celebrating his 58th birthday.

.

I agree too, about those Piano and Microphone tour shows, they were brilliant and if Prince was addicted to opiate painkillers, he was sure hiding it that night. He just played his ass off. But I think too with the lack of guitar and dancing around, it was "I'm taking it easy, good bye tour" now.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

Great show guys. Bittersweet indeed. Been a listener for about 4 years now, and it's always been very refreshing to hear many new, different, and similar perspectives on one man and his art. It's just a trip sometimes when people so far away can hit the nail on the head and articulate another's thoughts & feelings on something as subjective as music. You dudes from down under are a special bunch and i'm glad to hear that you will continue doing what you do. As you can see, you're really appreciated and cherished in this community.

It was wonderful. Thank you so much, guys. I am extremely thankful that you've decided to continue. I will gratefully listen to whatever you post, and in the meantime, I'm starting back over from the beginning. It's just something I need right now. Thanks for ALL of it--past, future, and current.

omg Toejam I have the SAME story, only replace moving to London with moving to NYC... I didn't have any family or friends there... except the Prince family. Prince and the fam kept me alive. Just one of the many reasons I feel like I have lost my best friend.

Wish I had known you were here, Rob, would have told told you what to go see smile

Love you guys, loved this podcast. Partyup

Thanks guys for the podcast.

While there is this universal sadness, I also feel sorry for Prince! His life has been cut short, he was putting together a new band with MonoNeon and producing new music and now that has all just stopped like that, suddenly.

Also, you guys say there was nobody anywhere nearly like Prince in terms of music, charisma, stage presence, creativity etc - well what about David Bowie?

Sad year this 2016.

Really appreciate this guys. One of my favourite times ever was when, for a few months. once a week I had to walk somewhere for a couple of hours each way. I could have taken the bus but chose to walk so that I could listen to every single one of your podcasts. Each one inspired me to appreciate each album more, to become aware of different interpretations and also it made me laugh out loud with references only Prince fans would get. My journey with Prince since I discovered you is synonomous with Peach and Black.

Thank you for all you have done and will do.

.

Well said sir.

.

You guys are always on the money in your podcasts - this one would be no different and it isn't. You all bring to life the thoughts all of us here on the Org. I think a lot of us here, in everyday life, don't have anyone to really speak to or discuss our passion and deep appreciation for Prince - that's why we're here. So it's really nice to hear human voices echo our thoughts as opposed to reading text on a screen.

.

Prior to listening to this I listened to the podcast on the australian leg of the Piano & Microphone tour (meaning to save it for when he came to London after cancelling) which was a very bittersweet listen. You were so lucky to see him in such fine form - on his own - just before him passing.(Witnessing "Pink Cashmere" going into "Noon Rendezvous"?! - Come on!! Certainly a dream moment for me.)

.

I thought MC's explanation that Prince was more than the sum of his parts was a standout. He really was - that was why just his presence seemed magical and otherworldly - he truly had an aura. I also didn't know that Prince was sending little cryptic (and not-so-cryptic messages) to you. Fair play - loved to have seen the expression on his face when he heard you lot taking the piss!!

.

I also enjoyed Toejam's talk on how he made friends in London via Prince meet-ups. I live in on the outskirts of London and never really had the inclination to do so - wish I did - certainly would be up for one now. Tut tut.

.

Player's experience that he got a shit-load of texts when Prince passed away saying how sorry they were for him - I'm sure it's an experience we all share - I've had prople I haven't heard from in years texting me.

.

Captain - bawling his eyes out in the car to "Arms of Orion"?! Ha! Loved to have seen that at the traffic lights!! Very funny, but most of us would have probably done the same.

.

And a Venus de Milo outro? Are you kidding me?! Certainly hit me between the eyes - one of my favourite pieces of music ever - melancholic gorgeousness.

.

Excellent job chaps. I'm just glad that you guys are going to carry on marching like the true-funk soldiers you are, certainly makes me happy and a whole lot of others out there - you certainly are loved here in the purple-world.

.

Cheers!!

I'm not going to knock one off over your lack of faith!

However, I'll listen to the podcast tomorrow on the train to London, as I usually do; although this time with a little trepidation - you lot better not make me cry on public transport!

These guys, plus Jester and Funkenberry all helped me get back into Prince over the last 5 years or so. Much appreciated. The positivity was a welcome break from the negativity on this site.
