I just heard. Apparently the Associated Press has a law enforcement source.

That might encourage them to make the report public now

He (probably) became addicted over time...IMHO.

I've seen it. One doesn't began that way, but...

There is a reason for the (now) limiting of prescriptions.

In the back of mind I did think this could be a part of Prince's departure but didn't want to think so. There has to be more explanation and I'll wait for it. To think of closure possibly ending with a few lines provided by the AP is not enough. My heart hurts very much right now. I'll wait. Either way, Prince is gone. I miss him all over again.

sad

His estate needs to hold all those trash rags accountable for saying he died of AIDS.

I can't help but think there is more to it. I just wish instead of letting the results trickle out they would just release it all at once. It's heartbreaking as it is!

Was there no alternative to taking opioids? Like a surgery that would once and for all end his pains? 😢😢😢

Exactly. Slow burn isn't as gratifying although would knowing really be gratifying and to what end. A part of me wants to know and a part of me wants all Prince's dignity no matter the outcome to not be compromised. This breaks my heart.

Someone of his size, work ethic and pain level...this is very easy to do. So sad.
Doesn't change my view of him one bit. We love you Prince

I was never in any doubt it was a simple overdose, so to some degree, there is no new news. It still doesn't shed any light on an underline problem and to be honest, I'm not one of those fans scambling or demanding answers. It won't bring him back.

Suregery can be very successful but there is no guarantee. He could have had the surgery back in 2010/11 and still been in pain.

News just came out here in Portugal aswell. That Prince died of an opioid overdose, then stating that opioids are medication used for treating chronic pain or as a recreational drug. Already giving it the addict edge. sad

Unfortunately I am sure there is more to this that we will never know, a simple opiod overdose could have been confirmed to everyone a month ago.
