He was always beyond life.

There is a void in all of our lives now that he is gone. But, I literally feel his presence stronger now than ever. The more that I think about it, the more that I recognize that his presence was always beyond the physical. It sounds weird, but it is as if he was always dead because his spirit spoke much louder than his body. It gives me some comfort because he is with us now just as much as he ever was. He did everything that he was sent here to do. I don't believe in saints, but he was sent here by god. He didn't control his destiny so we should try to not be sad about his death. When I see beautiful things like the stars or mountains, I am reminded that there is a god. Prince is one of those beautiful things that god gave to us that serves as a reminder that we were all created by something that cannot be described. I'm thankful that god shared Prince with this world.

I agree wholeheartedly. When that rainbow appeared over Paisley Park after his death I was like "That is Prince". "He is giving us a final goodbye". He was bigger than his shell. He was put here to do amazing things and I think he did all that he was supposed to do. He gave us everything he was and everythinghe had. And because of that, a part of him will always be with us.

Sometimes I wonder whether the dude wasn't a bit psychic even ...given his "angel" curing him of epilepsy, his song Let's Go Crazy and the bit about an elevator not getting us down (even if it was technically "delevator" and this was a reference to the devil or whatever).

I'd think he was partially a bit of a douche when I'd listen to him talk about metaphysical type stuff in interviews ...but I think his genius wasn't in words, but in this art. He reached a place that was higher than his religious ideas there. It was awe inspiring to behold. Still is.

the rainbow at pp was no accident, and no one will ever convince me it was.

he was saying "hey" to his family, friends, and fams, letting us know that he landed safely.

I am sure he had some psychic ability and was so 'touched' by spirit...I am happy he finally is in pure joy, no longer any bodily pain nor grief or heartache....he's gone home, he did all and more he was meant to xx

i love reading posts like these you guys finally convinced me that prince is more than a fantastic musican, i now believe his influence was almost supernatural in nature. i mean to create a rainbow over his own studio after his death, thats just incredible. ALL OF HIS MUSIC, has new meaning now. i feel like he is comunicating with me with each song i play. i can't stop crying.

While I do like the sentiment of your post, I have to disagree on where you say he did not control his destiny.

He absolutely controlled his destiny, to state otherwise makes Prince a robot who's every move was pre-programmed, I would rather believe in the gift of free will that we all have. God gave Prince his gifts and Prince decided to use them fully.

On a side note, I stated a few times over the last month that the rainbow over Paisley was his doing, that is just something he would totally do. Rainbows are not too common over Paisley Park in April, add to that it's proximity to his passing, sometimes the simplest explanation is the correct explanation.

Peace

I believe Prince was still at Paisley Park for a while and when the rainbow appeared, it was a sign that he was released to heaven.

Prince was unique and created by God to be a special blessing. He never was only of this Earth. We are all the same way, but he was like a prism that let that heavenly light shine through. And he always knew it too, and I think he grew to know it more and more as he got older.

I do feel him around me.

I do believe in saints. I don't know if he is one yet, but I think he will be. His desire for God and holiness was there. In my faith we pray for the departed, and I do pray for him and I ask him to pray for me too. I particularly ask him to help convert some people I know....I am asking him to use his Witness skills from where he is now. biggrin

God bless you, Prince. And God blessed us with your life.

some people do think he was a prophet.

anyway, our heroes are meant to live in us, not for themselves, never were. As it says on Bruce lee's tombstone "your inspiration continues to guide us to our personal liberation".

Prince was otherwordly. This is my favorite way to describe him. He just was the embodiment of calm, peace, trust, love and passion. So many wonderful qualities packed into a pint-size badass 5'2 frame. Otherwordly. cool

That's not Prince's rainbow, his would have been shades of purple. But it doesn't matter. Rainbows happen all the time, but this one was the most "on spot" rainbow of all times.

odd that it happened right then, i've heard stories about cat's meowing and dogs barking when someone dies, my people believe in raindances. how do we explain the unexplainable?

But they are signs...especially when they are rare. I totally believe that was a sign left for people that Prince had moved on to a better place...and to reassure us. I saw a double rainbow for the first time last year...and it was on a very special occasion. A message from above.

Paisley punk,

That was SO beautiful. I saw another longer reading as well a few weeks ago but didn't finish it. It was also very on point. I don't want to release him yet; I'm selfish. Sorry, Prince. Im going to try. I don't want to be a chain holding him back so I ask him to try to be patient with me.
