The last time I saw Prince live was at the Autism Rocks show in London, last year. 2/2/2015.

Final song of that show was Cool / DSTYGE.

Strange closer that.

Yeah, a bit strange. Think it was an extra encore that may not have been planned out.

The final song of the main portion of the set was "Dreamer".

This is the setlist someone grabbed from that show. The 3rd encore that's listed was abandoned in favor of a much longer sampler set, followed by Dreamer, then the final encore of Let's Work and Cool/DSTYGE.

Purple Rain. April 14, 2016 Atlanta.

.

That was was a special show and being there has made the last 5 weeks all the harder on me, but I'm glad I was there to experience it and truly reconnect with my love of Prince and his music.

This one is hard for me--I have ambivalent feelings about not taking the opportunity to see him perform in Oakland right before the Atlanta concert... But, in hindsight, and reading your post, I'm glad that I remember the last concert I attended in 2014. I think that it would have made it that much harder if I had seen him recently. My heart goes out to you. hug

Thank you. And for the FunkiestOne, too. hug I still have ambivalent feelings, myself, about having gone that night to both shows. On one hand, I know I am blessed for having seen those performances and it is something that will stay with me the rest of my life. On the other hand, I would go back and change that whole night if I could, make him cancel somehow for another week or two, to allow him time to recuperate... I will be forever grateful for the time, space, energy, and breath that I was able to share with him that night, but I will always wish I could change it, too.

Yes you are right, seeing him myself at the Opera House (show 2) I was on such a high as seeing him makes you like a new fan again & you are all enthusiastic with excitment for months on that Purple High - but when we lost him, it made the pain feel so much greater I think as he so still fresh in my mind and I could not reconcile the fact I only seen him in February then he was gone - I can only imagine what the feeling was like for those that did go to what was to be the final show grouphug

Thank you Prince for every note you left behind 💜

Technically it was Purple Rain as part of the 17 February Melbourne 6.30 pm show.

But one of my fondest - bittersweet - memories was seeing him descending through the trapdoor of the Love Symbol stage at Rod Laver Arena in 2012, after the very last encore, and him calling out words to the effect "we have to go". After all he'd given to us that night, he was apologetic that he couldn't stay longer.

$17.50 Tacoma, WA 2/15/85

$250 San Francisco, CA 4/10/93 ($250 because of so-called "final tour")

$32.50 Honolulu, HI 2/17/96

$32.50 Honolulu, HI 2/18/96

$132.50 Honolulu, HI 2/19/96 (paid someone front & center $100 to switch seats)

$133 Seattle, WA 4/29/02

$75 Seattle, WA 8/30/04

$75 Seattle, WA 8/31/04

$275 Seattle, WA 4/18/13

$275 Seattle, WA 4/18/13

$275 Seattle, WA 4/19/13

$275 Seattle, WA 4/19/13

Not including airfare, lodging, driving, etc. total spent to see Prince 12 times was $1848.

I guess I didn't see him as many times as I thought. Not sure what counts as the final song, as he was doing that weird thing at the end of those shows. Shows that cost a ridiculous $275 each razz The only reason I went to all 4 of those shows is Donna Grantis' playing on the Tonight Show. So, I have her to thank for seeing him so recently.

Biggest regrets are not seeing him at Paisley Park, DNA aftershow in 1993 (we were already driving back home to Oregon), and an aftershow anywhere in Europe.

So true MrSquiggle - but it is kind of bittersweet now - but I think I would have felt worse had I not made the effort to fly to Sydney to see him - I would have regretted it long term, it is just so painful now and I still cannot look through the tour book that arrived from Electric Fetus.

Thank you Prince for every note you left behind 💜

Show organisation was a shambles, so I didn't bother with the rest of the Hit n Run's. Was looking forward to a properly organised show with pre sold tickets. Thought we were going to get that with the Piano shows then the terror attack in Paris happened. sad

RIP sad
