Prince played 6 shows with this line up, including Adrian Crutchfield at Paisley Park between Oct-Nov 2015. At the last show, Prince hinted at taking them on tour with him when he did the Piano And A Microphone tour in Europe. He asked MonoNeon if he had his Visa ready. TRUE BLUE |

Yep, a continuation of the same session, it sounds like... occasional prepared samples of certain phrases or lines come in as vocals, but no 'live' vocals... but excellent sound... and they sound great!
DAMN! SHIT! I would have LOVED to have seen these live . X's face is BAD!
EDIT: Hold it, they're all BAD! HArd Rock Lover.... Ain't About To Stop...!!!! Amazing!

I'm no expert on recordings and thought the vocals I was hearing in the first part were live when I heard Prince's voice... But it all sounds amazing anyway (especially the bass in the second part). I'm pretty sure one of the guitar solo at the end of the first part is Prince, it sounds like him playing anyway.
Still listening now, what an amazing sound to start the day with.

Has anyone found the one recorded with Prince talking throughout yet - this one is definetely live. How brilliant, he is even shouting and clapping, wow. (the recording was uploaded 12 hours ago). Yep, definitely Prince instructin the band on that third one... "then do whatever you do on Sign O The Times..."
sound not as good as the first two, but still very listenable... he does snippet of A Case Of You, and then goes into the piano instrumental of The Question Of U at the end, right as it cuts off....
Brilliant, but sad-making.

Exactly. What I'd give for a soundboard concert with this band, even if it was a rehearsal or in the studio.
Very interested in the 'Black is the New Black' album now. I wonder how 'basic' the tracks recorded are? Almost hoping it can be 'liberated' in a similar way; we may never hear it otherwise. In fact, I'm pretty worried about the chances of us hearing any of Prince's recently recorded material. At least for a very long time | |

I had to listen to it again. I hear Prince say this in the beginning of the third rehearsal. I'm not surprised, because the lyrics of the two songs are somehow connected. I would love to hear the song June live! If these reheasals are posted my MonoNeon, hopefully he will post more. | |

I'm not a lover of most of Phase 1 but these tracks sound miles better at these rehearsals. Of course it would be even better if he was singing on them but still enjoyable nonetheless | |
