The Piano & Microphone shows are the toughest to listen to.

I've mostly been ok with listening to Prince music after the first couple of days, but the Piano and Mic shows are really painful and so frustrating. I hadn't been that into Prince live shows for the last several years..just seemed like in-the-round, greatest hits productions and just didn't interest me.

.

But he was in a great artistic place with these new piano shows...reflecting on his life and career and playing rarities. etc.

.

Plus it was just so intimate to just have P on the piano, sharing his music with us with those talented fingers nad that beautiful voice. It is just painful to think how the tour and his life was cut short. There were many more shows that he planned and of course so much betyond that. It makes me a little crazy to try to process it. I just can't understand what happened and it's just so wrong. I just can't wrap my head around it...maybe it will take months or years or never happen, but he should still be here.

i agree...i can"t listen to anything to be honest, just interviews, but no singing. but i am sure the last thing i will be able to listen to will be p and m...that's gonna be a while.

over three weeks and i still feel stunned. hang in there, we will all keep putting one foot in front of the other, somehow, despite our pain....

I can't go there.
Maybe next year. There's other stuff that I need to hear now.
Surprise, surprise.
Another treat. Another trick.

Well I am lucky that I was at the last two shows, so listening to those brings back more wonderful memories than sad thoughts. But being at those shows made me even more acutely aware of what we lost. I almost wish I didn't go to them. I think in the long run, I'll be glad that I did.

I've only heard one show and the quality was pretty bad. Are there any soundboards circulating from Piano & Mic shows??

yes I can't listen to the Piano and Microphone shows anymore, it's just too painful and makes me sad. But I'm listening to a older concerts and it's fine until the ballads, then I feel sad again. I'm still in shock and his death feels surreal.

Yes his more emotional and passionate songs are tough. Or when he starts screaming in The Beautiful Ones or Darling Nikki or other songs. Somehow that raw emotion just tears me oup.

I have 3/4/2016 and the final ATL shows. Sounds crazy, but I'm afraid to even listen to them.

Just right now listened to Atlanta all the way through and I'm literally shaking.

This would have been such a special tour to witness (although I wish he'd just rested/obtained treatment/etc).

Not sure I'm ready for that yet. Atlanta's totally put my recovery back.

I've actually been listening to the Piano shows the most. Upsetting, yes, but so amazingly personal and stunning.

..

I've actually found interviews harder to watch, but most of all, I've found it impossible to far to watch other fans on video talking about him..
