New Prince Mural in Las Vegas

This Prince mural is in the downtown Las Vegas Arts District, on Colorado Avenue between Main St. and Commerce Street. It is on the north wall of Medusa's Antiques (1300 S. Main Street).

According to the Las Vegas Weekly article that called my attention to it, it was painted by local artist Krie of the JHF Crew. However, by the time I saw it, the artist's name had been covered over by the inscription "without a ruler."

But I also want to know why Vegas has a bigger and more prolific Prince mural right now than Minneapolis. I do like the Mpls one more (though this one is amazing too) but it's not big and is just on the back of a coffee shop. You can't even see it from the intersection of Hennepin and 26th. Plus Minneapolis has had that giant-ass Bob Dylan mural downtown for ages. They better be planning an incredible mural or monument for Prince somewhere....

lol Go check it out! I had to drive several miles (and drive around downtown for awhile looking for it!) to see it yesterday afternoon. razz
