Not that I know of, its my fav song from Purple Rain, my fav is the 11.57 version of the song. I know there are other versions, but its the one I play the most.

Agreed, the most complex song on Purple Rain and he managed to graft in his father's composition into the middle of it.

The intro is supposed to be an S&M session between Wendy & Lisa also.

That made me laugh out loud. In 32 years of listening to Computer Blue I never one visualised W&L stood at the sink with their sleeves rolled up and fairy liquid in hands. You have changed the way I listen to that intro now forever.

It's not that difficult. I'd say you could learn it pretty quickly.

I can play a little bit, so I might start toying around with it again. I can't read sheet music, but the starting piano chords would be something to go on.

Are there any bootlegs of Father's Song out there? The only one I've found is a live cut from the City Lights series. One of my favorite P piano compositions, hearing those screeching guitars played out on the keys

One of these years Purple Rain is going to be a theatre production like Hamilton and others. It will just be so weird hearing other people sing Prince's music. Love Computer Blue, espcially his father playing it in the basement on a slighly out of tune piano in the movie. Really moving. It bothers me that both his parents lived till quite old. I suppose the 'blue' is getting to me in the title.

It¿s beautiful takes the song to another level, that and the scream at the end, i love the album version.
