Great, thanks, biggrin (doesn't seem to be much footage of them on youtube though).

Have you seen them before?

Based on their promo videos, the Purple Xperience sound amazing. The singer is obviously nothing like Prince (which could be a bit hard for some) but he - and the band - sound good and he actually reminds me a little of Robert Smith from the Cure, which I guess, is not a bad thing for me personnally (I can adapt). Wouldn't mind seeing them, but they don't appear to be touring at the moment. I think they are just hired on request... It will also be great when the Revolution start touring... http://time.com/4309374/p...ute-shows/

Everybody's looking 4 the answers
How the story started and how it will end
What's the use in half a story, half a dream
U have 2 climb all of the steps in between......RIP Prince

I can't believe these guys were on Letterman once, but yeah they seem good. Just makes me miss Prince a lot more though.

Have seen Jimi Love on a few occasions, fantastic tribute band that covers more than just the hits. Seeing them again end of the month.
This is what it's like in the dream factory...

Can't offer you a band I'm afraid but if you're based in the UK it might be worth keeping an eye on Tribfest. They tend to get the better tribute acts in and I wouldn't be surprised if they try and get a Prince tribute for the VIP stage (they have done this aready with Bowie)

Yes! They are great live and lovely people too. Dale makes a great Prince.

They are playing in Bolton this Saturday, I'm going seeing them boogie

But if it's too far for you they are playing various dates around the country you could try getting to.

I've heard of Purple Rain too, another UK tribute but I've never seen them live so can't vouch for them.

purple reign is top notch, so good that prince didn't even try to remove their covers of his songs, at least it looked that way.

When in Austin check out Foot Patrol. They are not a Prince tribute but often do amazing Prince covers at their shows along with their originals. They are extremely talented and their gigs are always a super good time.

The Breakdown here in Houston, Texas is very good. The lead singer kills it, as does the lead guitarist.

they're playing here on June 4th for the Party For Like-Minded People a/k/a the annual Prince party. I'll publish info in the Fan Gatherings forum, now that everything's open again.
