To break a musical pattern, you need to listen to someone else or to think about your other favorite artists. I listen to silly stuff like Feel Good Inc.(the Gorillaz).

Thanks- it's been super melancholy and I'm getting tired of people scoffing at me when they ask what's wrong and I just say, "Prince." "Still?" Yes. Damn. Why do you care!? Well, it's still early days I guess... I'm sure it won't feel like this forever, in the mean time, we'll just have to come back here and share our experiences., and play lots of music to lift our spirits. That is mostly what Prince was about, and he would have probably loved it to know that we are still united and enjoying his music and dancing to it... At least we know we are not alone in this, you certainly aren't.

Last night I was sad too so I listened to some of his blues before bed. Which is why I was surprised I woke up with Girls and Boys in my head since it is far more upbeat. Maybe P is trying to tell me something.
