So what are we all listening too?

Trojan after show, Still Would Stand All Time...

We planted some purple flowers today too.

As an aside, a brand I like is Life is Good in the US, I like their attitude and I had an idea they may have a tribute to Prince and so they do:

I listened to their new tack last week but can't say it really grabbed me, but I'll be getting their CD to see what Tom and the boys have come up with.

Playing everything in my Prince iTunes library (11days!) from beginning to end... currently in the middle of the Controversy tour (Saginaw) and loving it.... the Columbia, South Carolina show from December 81 is an incredible show and in incredible sound..... enjoying the journey from the start.

I'm listening on Apple Music.

Does good to leave Prince for a few hours after a 2 week binge. I'll be back on P by this evening, no doubt.

Had Montreux 2013 on last night for the first time, had it on hard drive for years but hadn't listened. There is so much out there - we'll never have a shortage of something new to discover music

I have just listened to 7 12" inch, Purple Rain lp and the black album. Forgotten how funky the black album is!

The whole Prince canon, chronologically. In the mid-90s right now: The Truth.

New music from:

Van Hunt (yet another previously unreleased track)

James Blake

Alicia Keys

Radiohead

Corinne Bailey Rae (new album on 5/13 - streaming now on NPR)

Lemonade

Nikka Costa ("Soul Sucker" for those that have supported her Pledge Music campaign)

.

The rest.

.

In the car, with the windows down -- only Prince since 4/21.

Same here, although I did put on James Brown's Slaughter's Big Rip-Off and and actually enjoyed it more than Prince's Parade... But that was probably because I needed a break after listening to P all the time... But still... Yeah... Mostly P... Which is very unusual for me... I don't usually listen to the same artist for more than one album at a time... But this is different...

So true - I am grateful for this and a hard drive full of things I have not heard too.

Thank you Prince for every note you left behind 💜

The type of stuff Prince use to send out in his tweets like Al Green. I miss hearing my phone ring when Prince sent a tweet. Now Twitter is just boring.

Having listened to Prince exclusively for the past couple of weeks I'm championing some new artists.
VANT, a rock band that I was lucky enough to catch live in Newcastle a few weeks ago.
Zibra, a mash up band who remind me of depeche mode and blur.
Lion babe, some cool and sexy rnb.
Clean cut kid, another great band that appear to have stolen the purple rain font!
The blossoms, a band that have a very interesting sound reminiscent of oasis and the doors.
Try them out!
