Jedi Nation Prince Tribute Question 4 Fans Hello Again Guys.
We are preparing a tribute show for you the fans, by the fans and I have two questions I'd like to ask of you
We are preparing a Top Ten List and it goes like this..
"Top Ten Things Princes Fans Had 2 Take Crap About Over His Career from Non-Prince Fans?"
Like the name change, etc

Top irritant from non-fans would have been, "Is he still making music? I thought he'd retired?" And I'd like to hear My Love Is Forever. Just because it was on the first album, and it's my favourite track on the first album. | |

Crap from non-fans? Has to be divided into era: pre-PURPLE RAIN and post-PURPLE RAIN. . Pre-PURPLE RAIN Homophobic and racist insults hurled because Prince being black and perceived as gay. His music was viewed as disco and of course the big phrase back then was "Disco sucks!" . Post-PURPLE RAIN Honestly post-PURPLE RAIN no one took crap for being a Prince fan. Two most frequent things said to me:
(1) Is he still alive (this was said after I brought tickets to the Sydney Opera House) (2) he is weird as he is so short like a jockey (I used to say best things come in small packages - just think of Tiffany jewellery!)
Songs? Nothing Compares 2 U was always a favourite, but it is too painful now - I will let others choose.............

Thanks for doing this show! Questions What has he really done since Purple Rain (my response was a very sarcastic...Are you serious do you live under a rock?) Prince hasn't had a radio hit since KISS has he? Please play STILL WOULD STAND ALL TIME The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.
