Prince's awareness of his situation

Don't want to speculate on anything and to be honest as actor Ron Perlman said on his facebook; I don't care how he died, just that he lived, which is true.

I'm just trying to process all of this and a number of things keeping hitting me like:

Disbanding 3rdeyegirl and going solo: had he exhausted the project?

Reaching out to old friends and family as mentioned in another thread.

Songs like Way Back Home/ June etc all seemed incredibly candid for him

Opening up about his life on his piano tour

All these things and I'm sure more, to me feel as though there was a certain sense of awareness on Prince's part in regard to his health and the severity of the situation. Everything felt like it had come full circle to an afroed Prince sat at a piano alone and I must admit I find it a very sad scenario that he died alone like this sad

I don't know about some of those things but I too am convinced he knew he was unwell to the point he could leave us soon. I don't think he realised just how soon though.

I'm bending towards he was overwelmed by a problem, knew he needed help but couldn't ask for it, directly. Only certain people would have known just by looking at him and those people weren't around.

With respect I want to share my experience about this since I haven't seen anyone else say it, but I'm also hesitant to share this because I haven't seen anyone else say it.

.

I saw Prince at the 2014 Essence Fest. He looked ill to me there and in subsequent (rare) appearances I've seen. It wasn't just his looks, but the way he carried himself and the small amount of physical movement. It's understandable, I did not expect him to look or dance like he did at age 20, 30 or 40.

.

That's my whole point though - I feel from his appearace and behavior the past couple of years that the possibility of health issues is not surprising to me, and even his death was not completely surprising to me. But it was just as heartbreaking.

Maybe he's anemic. He's lost weight before, not looked well, then bounced back. Then the process starts all over again. Could be an ongoing struggle with him, if he forgets to eat.

Well... the thing that makes me think Prince knew something... is just how much as fans, people were reacting to the fact that Prince seemed to be insinuating he was dying. This was weeks before the 'emergency landing', weeks before he was found in the elevator. People were posting threads speculating about Prince's health and his alarming posts to social media.

The narrative that's out there... Prince, heartbroken over the loss of Vanity, dying of a big disease with a little name, and popping percoets and cocaine to the point he was staying up days at a time, cash-poor, attempting to squeeze the most out of his final days before his body simply gave out, or maybe he pushed himself over the limits on purpose because his outlook was grim.... kinda makes sense, idk.

People have been speculating on Prince's death since Michael's, with fingers crossed. Every hair out of place, every eyelash missing it got brought up.

I hope it's more, I really do, but will live if it isn't.

Funny, but I was there also, and he looked great to me! In all my years, that was my one and only time seeing him live and in person, and I had pretty good seats on the floor too. I didn't see that he looked ill at all, and he did dance, although not a whole lot, but he looked as handsome and fine as he always looked to me.

When I heard him talk about his father and having lucid dreams of loved ones I knew then that he knew his time was short sad
