Why no promotion at all for HITNRUN 2 ?

It could have been his 20th top ten album, and state a new record...

They have the clips from "ROCKNROLL LOVE AFFAIR" "BALTIMORE" "SCREWDRIVER"...Properly promoted it could sell more than BLACKSTAR in the US.

Why no push on radio ? Why no tv/radio/magazines advertisings ?

nOBODY Knows ythis album is released, it's even worst than the AOA promotion.

Why has it been delayed in the 1st place ? dON'T TELL ME THEY HADN'T TIME TO MANUFACTURE the CD's one week after Prince's death. And what is the point in manufacturing something you don't promote ?

---- Everything is going to be in disarray for a while so this great last CD is going to have to wait as I doubt Roc-Nation knows what to do.

All the "what song of the album do you prefer " topics are boring. To each one his opinion. It's not because someone is gonna say "I love this song but I don't like this one", that its gonna change anyone's opinion...

But if you like this kind iof topic, fine for you. Go ahead. Do what you want.

i just wonder why the new Prince's album, which could be a huge hit, is almost not even in store, and without promotion of any sort. I think, it's a most interesting question than "what would you do with the vault", because well, you won't ever do anything from that.

From Prince's song, you didn't learn many things, such as respect, tolerance...Peace and b wild.

I don't think any of the videos are licensed though, the video to RocknRoll Love Affair is a few years old and a different version to the one on the album.

I'd imagine the contracts here are a mess...

Blackstar was a tightly controlled release overseen by Bowie, a man who knew he had very little time left, it's a very different situation to this one.

I doubt HNR2 would sell more than Blackstar because frankly it's not as good. Though you make a decent point: Prince is bigger than Bowie in the US, so maybe you're right.

In any case, if they had to promote something, wouldn't they be able to squeeze more juice out of a Purple Rain remaster?

But PURPLE RAIN = WARNER, while HNR2 (and maybe 1?) = UNIVERSAL.

Gotcha.

I've just realised I copied jawwnn when I said HNR2 wasn't as good as Blackstar, specifically using the word 'frankly'. Now I feel bad.
