Firebrand live shutting down fans??? Hi everyone! I was contacted by Frebrand live telling me to takedown a design of a shirt we did as a tribute piece. Has anyone heard of these guys reaching out to fans, making them take down posts, hand made items and tribute pieces? | |

Princes camp/lawyers or whoever use to and probably still does go after people who use his likeness, symbol etc.. cease and desist! Not saying you infringed on anything.. Just saying.. Be careful!  I will take my place, In the great below | |

Yeah, nothing has changed really as far as takedowns and such, it's not like Prince was doing all that personally himself. And I guess depending on their contract or arrangement, they will be paid by his estate? Somebody has to continue to pay them, I assume? |

Sorry to bump but I thought I'd share that a drawing of Prince I have on Redbubble has been taken down thanks to Firebrand. It's crazy, I drew it myself yet people who just put up stolen images are still on there. | |

That's interesting because original artwork done using a famous person as a model is governed by different laws than people slapping copied photographs on t-shirts and the like and selling them. An original work of art is considered the artist's legal property. At least as far as my understanding goes. But then again, I'm not a lawyer. Cool! I drew a similar picture years ago. It was taken from The hits b-sidex box set cover, the one with his eyes closed I no longer have it saved thoe Btw if don't want any one to steal your image.. Try Watermarking it  I will take my place, In the great below | |
