Have you bought any Prince items since he passed away?

I caved in and bought the Symbol album. A sealed Japanese version with an 'Obi' strip. I wanted a mint one as my original has seen better days.

Not yet, but I saw that velvetmusic.nl sells hit n run 1 and 2 as CDs. So those I gotta get my hands on. And maybe, I'll finally try to buy 20ten somewhere. It's the only CD missing in my collection.

I've recently started re-buying a ton of prince, literally 2 weeks before april 21st.

my music collection was shipped from home in london, to my wife's family home in Auckland. We currently live in Melbourne so ive (re)bought a heap in the last 4 years here..just so i have it handy.

but strangley i bought Around the World on vinyl and Love symbol, diamonds, new power soul and controversy on Cd about 2 days before april21...

I ordered a ton of 7inch records too (doves/kiss/go crazy and more) and they arrived in the post on april21..

No.

Fortunately I miss really few items in my CD collection. Very few.

And to be honest, even if I wanted to rescue them I don't want to be victim of "prices after death syndrome".

I will wait some months, 'til all prices will be returned to normality.

True, especially eBay is crazy atm. CDs going for 100+ dollars, incredible...

I had to get a 12" copy of Let's Go Crazy so I could frame the Erotic City cover. My dad's copy of that creeped me out when I was a 6-year old, but I was completely fascinated by it and it seemed like a nice tribute.

The only Prince thing I've bought since his passing, was two downloads of Purple Rain; once from Google Music, and once from 7digital, at 99p each.

Crazy. Amazon Crystal Ball price went above $300. Was at about $50-$60.

Don't think I'll buy anything. Have a sweet collection since '78.

Bought all of the TIDAL exclusives in flac format.

Drove the prices up on quite a few ebay rarities, but wasn't trying to win anything.

I finally pulled the trigger and bought the Picture Disc LP version of the Batman soundtrack. The price was reasonable too, got it before the price was increased.

I caved and bought Graffiti Bridge (movie). I could never bring myself to watch it before...

I'm also trying to re-purchase some of his 90s CD. When I moved out of my parents home into a much smaller space with no storage, I only took my favourites with me. It seems my mother may have donated my CDs (along with my Sign O the Times VHS) at some point *sigh*.

I'm just collecting newspaper clippings and my Facebook wall is almost exclusively a place where I've collected and re-linked articles about Prince. I also ordered a copy of the Billboard issue to be mailed to me and have just started to scour the checkout lanes at the store for magazines. I've got the People and the Newsweek and another one I can't remember, but I passed up buying the magazine (can't remember which one it is) that had a cover story about Prince being murdered on it. No thanks...this is bad enough as it is!

HNR Phase 2 CD and I'll probably get Plectrum Electrum by the end of the week.

I'd also like to get an ONA sealed CD but prices are crazy out there.

Thinking about getting a Blule print. Of him sitting on the piano from the Australian tour. Really beautiful. oh. I did by black sweat as the links for downloads I could find were down. I just didn't bother at the time as thought I had ages to get it.

Didn't know TIDAL allows you to purchase music now. Might be time to grab Xpectation and N.E.W.S

time flies.

Finally ordered his last album, HitNRun Phase Two, from Amazon last night-- also ordered an extra copy of Purple Rain CD to keep in the car.

Do not let those get away from you.

Ordering the Prince CDs from Amazon, for some of them anyway including Purple Rain, also gives you "auto rip" copies you can download or stream with Amazon Music app which is convenient for me when I want to listen to music of Prince with my iPhone while walking my dogs.
