I turned it off after a minute. Too much hate is not a good thing. Prince would not approve.

Yes she makes some good points of course, but TMZ types don't really care about morality and all that. It's all about the $ to them.

but you know what? she's right. TMZ are parasites. Levin is the personification of a parasite. I often wonder how the people that work there, day in and day out, do what they do and not feel a modicum of regret for what they put out there.

If Prince was being treated for chronic pain, and he died from treating it, Then so be it. It should be the physicians that prescribe these drugs like candy who are investigated. I work in the medical field and the prescription of opioids is a hot topic, because it's very easy to overtreat yourself with them, especially with the combo's prescribed these days. TMZ is trying to make this into some nefarious case of Prince waiting in dark alleys with a wad of cash, waiting for a scumbag dr. to provide him with a bag of ill-gained pills m that he then took while binging on coke. Fuck that. Prince has contributed more positivity to this world in one day than Levin and crew ever will, and Janet out out there what the majority of us here are surely feeling about TMZ.

it's time to overturn the laws that allow paparazzi to relentlessly stalk celebrities. the so-called 'public figure' exception.

.

there should be a law protecting his privacy

I really don't think the facts of Prince's death should be assessible to the public. That information should only be made available to the family.

I agree. No idea who Aunt Viv is either and don't care. TMZ sucks but it is not different than Jerry Springer. As long as there are idiots who watch TMZ, there will be TMZ.

i agree. i'm disgusted that TMZ is able to buy this information despite strict health care laws that prohibit the dissemination of personal medical information.

.

TMZ is absolutely ruthless, these paparazzholes are stalkers who seriously affect the mental health of the celebrities they haunt.

.

it's so sad that prince was likely fearful of just such an invasion of privacy and thus returned to his jet rather than resting, hospitalized in atlanta.

.

and scuse me but how in the fuckity fuck did they find out about his save shot? whoever leaked that needs to be firmly reminded what a fuck they are.

.

says me, the hypocrite, reading these stories all the same myself, right here at the org. i am conflicted. sad as a fan, i demand to know 'what the hell has gone wrong!?".

.

but even though i am reading the stories myself i would feel better if all these slanderous stories were not flying around the poor man's name. only public record facts should be reported, if at all, and other details should be private and protected. imo

TMZ works with the publicists and legal teams of the people they cover. They aren't outsiders. If anything, they hold back info.

I've never watched TMZ ever and the one time I did I saw Harvey Levin talk about Princes passing and he looked genuinely upset so I'm not sure what she's ranting about. Dont watch it I say, to be that mad you must have been watching it for a while, seems funny to be upset

Totally agree. But I do not read any of this stuff for my own sake. I don't care about the why. The fact is that he has passed on. And I used to like Harvey Levin on People's Court before this TMZ BS. neutral

Couldn't agree more.

TMZ & all their " Sources" are the vultures who flourish, with their mud filed souls. These so called humans are nothing less than a bunch of vile scroupolous beings, their existence on this earth is what is wrong with humans today. I don't watch it but I know their "work" the whole media is really disgusting no boundaries no morals no nothing. Anyone that watches that garbage or is willingly force fed regurgitated "news" "information" should be ashamed. Its such a shame that we all have to endure this and it is highly disrespectful and shouldn't be tolerated. Prince was one of the finest examples of a human there ever was on so many levels beyond comprehension a true modern day genius. This media character assanition is beyond infuriating.

I'm appalled that recordings of the call to paramedics, and footage of medical personnel at the airport are allowed to be made public. What sort of world are we living in where this is held up for "entertainment"? It is absolutely disgusting and must be so hugely distressing for his family and close ones, and fans too, of course.

These tabloids are falling over themselves to get some sensational angle out of his death, because there is money in it. Our only hope of them cooling on it is if some other major celebrity dies over the next few days and they have a new victim to turn over. They will do what they do until they can get some final, "sensational", definitive word on what happened to Prince. Thinking about them makes me angry, so most of the time, I try not to.

Well, if the facts of all deaths are private, then Prince's should be private. However in MN certain facts of all deaths are public data, so that should be true for Prince as well.

I have a hard time seeing how parts of society would function if all facts about all deaths were private.

On the other hand, we certainly wouldn't be seeing endless reampings of the War on Drugs - as we have been recently with opiods - if the govt and media couldn't push every demographic death blip into our faces. That's what bothers me most right now about the direction of the Prince coverage. MN is already preparing to overreact legislatively "in his honor" - serving only to increase the DEA budget and power while further interfering with the medical care and privacy of the rest of us.

It won't bring Prince back, that's for sure.

I'm pretty sure in most, if not all, states that that death records are normally public. The same is true for a lot of court records and data related to emergency services, too.

I can understand some fans not wanting to read it but that doesn't mean it should be restricted for all, either, unless it's specifically illegal.

For me personally, I don't like hearing baseless gossip but if what is being reported is true it brings a sense of closure.

Additionally, there's a lot of people on this site that, for years, discussed and gossiped over a multitude of other private facts about his life from what he ate to who he slept with - myself included. I don't see his death as any different from those other personal topics that still get discussed here.
