Lenny, imo, is in mourning like the rest of us, however it's a Hollywood-stylr mourning so he keeps talking like he thinks the public believes he SHOULD know, more than he a actually DOES know. Love Lenny. Just my opinion. | |

I think Lenny is referring to the painkillers.He apparently knew that Prince had a problem."Dodged a bullet" could mean that,this time,Prince nearly OD'd and died (referring to the emergency plane landing) | |

Maybe they were close friends since the late 80's. I was more shocked P had Will Smith in his contacts to be honest. |

I think it would have been hard to hide from those around you every day. 3rdeyegirl had to know,as they were with him everyday for a long time. Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind. | |

Prince and Lenny have been friends since Let Love Rule came out. No idea how close they were but certainly Lenny was closer to Prince compared to D'Angelo, for example.

Isn't it truer to say that there were several emergency calls at PP? It's not been established they were for Prince I don't think. |

But Lenny said it himself "sure, the man could be aloof at times, and it's not uncommon if I don't hear from him at all for a year or more." In the Rolling Stone interview he said they jammed at after shows all over the world and many nights at Paisley Park throughout the years. I recall hearing Lenny played drums (uncredited) on one of P's tunes. It might have been "Peach"?..(I may be wrong). | |

Yes exactly.. to PP, where they have concerts for hundreds of people. So would not be surprising if one of them got sick or other emergency where 911 was called. It was 4 times in the last few years, which is not a lot if you think about it. Plus other pe.ople work at PP too. . But yes that comment by Lenny definitely struck me as odd as well. The truth will probably come out before long as some of Prince's trusted friends and assistants eventually tell what they know after the autopsy tests are made public, and everything else.. . I'm just sad that P was in so much physical pain. He wasn't popping pills for fun...no one has accused him or rumored that. [Edited 4/30/16 7:00am] | |
