"Best Of The Known Vault": Top 12 Unreleased Songs

PrinceOrgKatTeers,

If you were assisting Wendy and Lisa and Alan Leeds and Susan Rogers evaluating and producing The Vault and they asked you to pick 12 KNOWN unreleased songs to be mastered and mixed and to be released in time for the holiday buying season under the title "The Second Coming" what would they be?

Here's mine list of tunes:

1. The Second Coming (1981)

2. Cosmic Day (1986)

3. No Call U (1982)

4. Electric Intercourse (1983)

5. Moonbeam Levels (1982)

6. Broken (1981)

7. Father's Song (1983)

8. Roadhouse Garden (1984)

9. Our Destiny (1984)

10. She's Just A Baby (1981)

11. There's Others Here With Us (1986)

12. Love...They Will Be Done (1990)

They could really milk Purple Rain with a double CD set, with the 2nd disc being the extended versions of Computer Blue, Darling Nikki, Would Die 4 U, etc.. as well as some of the unreleased stuff like Electric Intercourse.

Sure would be nice to see what the tracklisting of the Purple Rain reissue was intended to be.

I'd say, based on general artistic importance, popularity, and fan mentions over the years, if I were to release a "Best of the Vault" (based solely on songs that have widely circulated) this would be my tracklist:

1. Moonbeam Levels

2. Extraloveable

3. In All My Dreams

4. Electric Intercourse

5. In a Large Light With No Room

6. The Grand Progression

7. Wonderful Ass

8. Rebirth of the Flesh

9. Go

10. Witness 4 the Prosecution

11. Empty Room

12. Train

13. A Place in Heaven

14. Dance With The Devil

15. The Max

16. All Day, All Night
