There used to be a time when i would hunt all mags where he was on the cover down. Now it just feels wrong. RIP sweet Prince

Same here. It's not like there is anything new to report. Casual fans rejoice!

The Newsweek tribute issue is a phenomenal career retrospective. As a longtime fan and someone who actually met him, I can not speak highly enough about it.

Yes, and its pretty good. If you've got an Ipad its available to download for free on the NME app too.

Are these for free, if not, how much are they? Please someone send them to me, I live in Texas, nothing special going on in the newspapers here :/

I live in Texas.

I just bought them for face value at shop.startribune.com

They also sell the other Startribune specials on Prince for face value. Do NOT buy on Ebay while you can get them from the source.

biggrin

Thank you. Haha yes I know, Ebay is going nuts right now with outrageous prices when most of the stuff wasn't even worth THAT much before it happened.

By the way I live in McAllen, it's waaaay south, close to Mexican border

They're selling the set for $30 on the Strib's website. I might go to a newspaper box and try to find the ones I'm missing.

Thanks. I went to Barnes and Noble on Saturday and there were no magazines on Prince available yet

If you live in Texas I suggest to go to the local store. I bought at LEAST 20 magazines.

Then I also bought like 50 online eek

Lucky you got money, I've had to be nice to my dad for about 2 weeks now so he could buy me Prince stuff lol

I went to Walmart and they had People, Us, and National Shitquirer and I wasn't having any of the bullshit conspiracy theories and only 2 pages dedicated to P so I got Newsweek smile

Other than that, I have not seen any other magazines, I will keep an eye out though. Which one's do you think will be worth it? Everyone here keeps mentioning Rolling Stone

I picked up the Entertainment Weekly, People and Billboard commemorative issues on Friday. Your local Barnes and Noble store is lame.

It does suck, the alarm went off when I walked into another section of the store with a Prince CD in my hand. It embarrassed me in front of everyone mad (there was a bus full of college kids there) but I survived.

I'm going back to Barnes as soon as I can though, it's a new week.

FNAC Belgium has made all of his albums and DVDs available to purchase or order again.

The also changed the banner, with a nice pic from Prince and the title: 'homage: Prince'.

There is a direct link to his complete body of work.

You can also buy the HITNRUN Phase Two CD! (Which I'm finally getting in about half an hour, when I leave the door!)

The Time Commerative issue arrives on newsstands this week. The Billboard tribute came out last Thursday/Friday.

I saw the Rolling Stone issue in Barnes and Noble today and sorry but it is very very flimsy, I am shocked at how little thought was put in. I passed on it. I havent bought any yet, because I have been looking at what everyone is saying, my impulse is to just get them, but I think NEWSWEEK and TIME look amazing at this point and worth it. The Rolling Stone is 4.99 and honestly seems like something that falls out of magazines.
