A judge has granted Bremer Trust's request to hire entertainment industry experts while the matter of the lack of finding a will so far and multiple claims of purported heirs, etc. are being sorted out.

The Minneapolis Star Tribune has also reported on the judge granting Bremer Trust's request to hire industry experts while the matter of determining heirs, etc., is still being sorted out.

I hope it does not become a museum or tourist attraction. Could it become a school for the arts or some type of annex for a state school? I don't think, because of its location, that, it would draw musicians to rehearse, film, etc., there because Prince is no longer physically present. However, if someone like Jay Z or Pharrell was to buy the place outright, they might be able to maintain the property in the appropriate manner and draw well-known musicians to PP.

Honest question, why would you not want it to become a tourist attraction or museum? I personally have never been to Paisley Park, and I would love to visit it. I'd love the hear the place filled with his music, and an expert guided tour would be nice too.

I'm of the exact opposite opinion from you about someone like Jay Z or Pharrell buying it. They're too far removed from Prince's legacy and each has their own agenda. Paisley Park would be "theirs" -- not Prince's. It would probably be remodeled into what they wanted.

I'd love to see a consortium of related artists take over Paisley Park (Sheila E., W&L, etc.)

For me. it is a "sacred" place. I simply wouldn't want it to be cheapened as a "tourist attraction." JMO

Didnt Sheila E say that Prince kept alot of stuff on display with the idea that one day it might become a museum or tourist attraction? If that was what he wanted then its a great idea

I see where you're coming from, but there have been thousands of people walking through there over the years during the Celebrations, concerts, Paisley Park After Dark, etc.

Maybe it's just not the same without Prince there?

An earlier post (I think on this thread) had the suggestion of having it be open to the public during the warmer months, and a working studio (either for recording or for teaching) off-limits to the public during the colder months.

Eek! God, no. It seems so TACKY. I understand the need to get the place bringing money in again, but I'd like to see it used for its original purpose - producing and recording, and as an entertainment venue. Hopefully they will do both. After all PP did tours during performance events and it worked out. I'd hate to see all the production equip etc go to waste when other musicians could use it. Would make me feel better if there was still legit music being created there. They can still do tours if they want but please no tacky tourist trap!!!

The Associated Press is reporting that close friends of Prince's said he told them he wanted to turn Paisely Park into a museum someday, and now Bremer Trust and the sibilings are exploring the possibility.

The Minneapolis Star Tribune is also reporting on Prince's apparent desire to turn Paisely Park into a museum, with Bremer Trust "likely with the backing of Prince's siblings" in exploratory stages of the idea.

I hope they turn it into a working museum with part of it being a school of music as well as a recording studio.

It's location is great for a school of music as there are lots of students in the area.

If it's anything like other museums, it will be available for renting out in the off-hours for events like weddings, birthdays, company picnics, etc.

Imagine a wedding done on the Paisley Park grounds with the reception inside? It could (and probably will) happen!

I just want it to survive. Hopefully it can resume to it's original purpose later on down the road.

I've aready asked about somethings in another thread things that I've never seen talked about, I'm assuming folks don't care so whatever.

There are so many overlapping threads now about Paisley Park, the Estate, etc. I'm sure no offense was intended - your post probably just got overlooked.

I'm not really offended. It's not a theory. It's just weird that the last 2014 RS interview has him saying what he intended to do with PP and it's virtually going overlooked around here. It's just funny what gets repeated and what doesn't. Ok, maybe I am a bit annoyed. But I can let it go quite easily.

i saw that. i'm afraid that unless his will and/or estate plan turns up its in the hands of his heirs.

I have an art piece that I would like to send to PP (Prince inspired) It's a really nice piece but I don't know if it would be pointless. Does anyone know if they are doing anything with the stuff left on the fence etc.? If they are doing something with Prince inspired artwork, I would like to send it but if they are throwing these things away I will keep it for myself. Does anyone have any idea?
