Second stage... Acceptance and Reflection The first stage is Shock and Grief.. The next for me is Acceptance and Reflection... Thinking back to.... The time my dad banned me from listening to Prince, because he thought instead of "Controversy " he thought he was singing "Count Your P$&$y" lol The time my dad saw some of Prince's "ladies" and then told me "I guess you can listen to him "  The time I snuck backstage during the lovesexy tour and Cat and Shiela walked passed me and said "Aww he has a cast on his arm" and Prince looked over and smirked. The time I was shopping my demos and an exec said "I like it, this has a Prince feel to it " and I replied, "that's not good cuz Prince would want me to have my own sound" The time you get backstage passes to the Musicology tour from Sony because you're the only one around old enough to appreciate him. Damn kids lol The time you tell your daughter "you're here because of Adore" and tell your twins "you two are here because of Insatiable" lol There's many more.. But I think that's enough... Next phase "Celebration" | |

I'm pretty sure he is, at least in some of the voices. It's like when they did Erotic City and Sheila didn't want to sing that one word, so she sang "funk" instead, and we spent the next 25 years debating which it was. It's like that. | |

I don't think stage 1 even hit me really until yesterday or today. Whatever, guess it was probably denial. Seeing Bruce pay tribute tonight I guess made it "real"? I'm not even a big Springsteen fan at all, but I guess that's what solidified the realness to me. Not the reports or news conferences, but it took a peer of sorts, to pay homage, for me to accept this as reality. | |

Actually it's the 5th step of grief but also these don't have to be linear and can fluctuate with time | |
