The Minneapolis Star-Tribune just posted a story as of 12:15 a.m. May 4 to explain why it was that people were at Paisley Park at 9:30 in the morning that sad day. "May U live 2 see the dawn."--Prince

you're talking about this article, right? I just saw this and was coming here to post. *sigh*, seems pretty legit and consistent w/the 911 call. if this is true ugh. at least he was really trying his best to get help and get things under controll. being medicated would certainly explain how he got through his shows. at least he's no longer in pain.

this explains why the doctor, who was the one that called 911, didn't know the address of PP nor didn't know that it the building wasn't IN Minneapolis.

Exactly what I was thinking. It only because the 911 operator happened to know it was Chanhassen and they were able to get someone there within five minutes.

This is so daggone sad.

Yes it sounds like was just a matter of hours and if that doctor would have gotten there just a little sooner, P would still be here. It is heartbreaking and sounds like he just fell into the trap of addiction that is so difficult to get out of and has taken so many millions of people, including great artists of course.

Well, the reason he was alone seems obvious to me... Prince wanted it that way. It's incredibly frustrating and infuriating and beyond tragic but I think it really is as simple as that. He was a grown man used to having complete control over his life. No one was going to be babysitting him unless he wanted them to do so...

.

And he had just OD'd six days earlier. He was stubborn and was riding his bike and working long hours and just not taking it easy like he should have been. He was always so driven, but this was a time to acknowledge that your body is weak for awhile and accept more help. Just so incredibly sad.

Yep. Especially in light of what happened six days earlier. It seems he was in crisis even though he went out of his way to make it seem otherwise, sad

Sorry no disrespect. But I want to hear it from those that were involved. Because I'm sorry I'd of gotten the roledex, and called somebody in his circle. Fire me. But somebody's staying. There's been one scare in less than a week and now somebody drove him to pick up more.

I'm devastated and bawling my eyes out! How could this have happened??!! How could they have left him alone like that??!! It's not right. He was so close to getting help. He deserved a chance to get better. We would have all been cheering for him to get better. We would have still adored him. This just hurts too much. Help was only moments away. The pain is as bad again right now perhaps even worse than that sickening moment I heard the news on thurs apr 21. He didn't deserve this ending. 😢

Exactly. I have had to do this with my hard head husband when he had an infection and my son when his asthma got out of control. They tried to make me leave them alone and I went to war with them, called the police, fire rescue, all the relatives, you name it.

That's what you have to do no matter how mad they get.

So, hopefully there will be an explanation of why he was left alone when he was dropped off Wednesday night given that his inner circle knew what was going on. Prince, please help us understand. Peace.

It saddens me more to read this, noting that his representatives are the ones who called for the doctor. I hate to think Prince maybe didn't know help was on the way.
