Prince hologram concert; would you go?

What if... in the future the Vault(s) would be emptied and the curators decided to promote the new albums with a Prince hologram show, would you go and see it? The thought crossed my mind early this morning...

I saw this on news recently for some French sixties artists and I said nah...

But who am I kidding, the piano tour for Europe got cancelled and I was devastated. Even more now that I realise it's over. You do this tomorrow and we'll all be there. Just watching the 7 video. You could have the 7 prince holograms appearing on the stage. It just won't be prince, but I can't imagine that I will never see him again...this is tough...I can't process never seeing him perform.

Absolutely not. I would go to a theater to see a live filmed performance of his, however.

No way. I'm a Prince fan...nit Prince and the holograms fan.

I'll go to a live Prince concert. I won't go to a replay of a past concert. Nah....I'm good.

There is no need for a hologram concert when there are real filmed concerts available to be released. Prince doesn't need gimmicks to maintain his legacy - he just needs his output to be properly archived, curated and released.

I would but it would be so empty. It would truly exemplify the emptinence of a hologram concert in ways I never would've thought before

And for all the of the reasons he explained when he denounced live performances using pre-recorded vocals.

With a Tupac or Michael Jackson hologram show you get a replication of one of their live shows. The music. With MJ, the dancing - which is all well-rehearsed before the tour ever begins - with Prince you'd have a HOLLOWgram show. A hologram isn't going to break out into a guitar solo straight from his heart that makes you question what planet he's from - it's going to be a pre-recording

You can listen to a CD at home. At a concert is suppose to be an exchange of energy between a performer and an audience of people that are all there for their unified appreciation of the music

I would go. But it would be a very hollow experience compared to a live show from him. It's the best we would have now though.

I really wanted to go to his show in Oakland, I was waiting for him to announce a show in LA

No computer design interpetation of him, definitely not. A recording of a past concert, with upgraded technology that is shown as a 360degree hologram, sure, eventually.

^ this. a hologram of a prince concert would be cool, imo. however, if someone attempted to create a holographic version of the scarlett johanssen robot and animate it for performances by reinventing his 'style' and 'personality'... that would be creepy

Right now I'll say no. But say five years from now, I will need a purple fix, and I'll get it whichever way I can.

No. They're weird and creepy to see. Just don't sit well with me at all.

They might perfect it after we're all gone and fair enough for those people in a 100 years time. good for them.

Absolutely not.

But I would go to a Paisley Park Experience with Andre Cymone, Sheila E, The Time, The Family and other Prince associates celebrating his life.

No. Prince himelf deplored digital manipulation of the deceased as he said so in Icon magazine 1998 written by Toure. If people truly want to honor Prince, why can't people honor his beliefs and wishes? SMH. No, I wouldn't want to see it.
