This is without a doubt the worst day of my life. He was way too young. Thank you Prince for all the great music and memories.

I woke up this morning and found the news. It was so amazing to exerpence his live at the Sydney Opera House just 2 months ago... Can't stop crying... I've been listining to his music for over 30 years and he was part of me and my life... Thank you, Prince. RIP.

Truly devastating!!!

Still in shock...I found out at work around 12:00 pm. Knowing my love for Prince, my mom shot me a text and let me know she heard some very unfortunate news. Shaking, I instantly dropped what I was doing and went online only to find out my worst fear was true. I'm not afraid to say I immediately went to the bathroom and cried as I was truly heartbroken. Through my darkest hours, the music of Prince has always and will always be a beacon of light for me. I felt like I lost a piece of soul today.

R.I.P. Prince. Thank you so much for all that you have done. You truly were an inspiration and I am so blessed to have been able to experience a fraction of the beauty you created in this life.

And to my fellow orgers in pain, I am here with you and I hope you're with me too.

Don't know what to say. I feel absolutely numb. I'll never forget the first time I saw Prince on MTV back in 1983. I was only 5 years old. I was completly captivated by him. It's hard for me to say what about him drew me to him ... i think i saw so much passion in him and it touched something in me. Thank you Prince for all the music you gave us, and all the amazing live preformances ... but we've been left with an amazing gift - even tho I feel horribly sad at the moment

The MJ community has stayed together and flourished. I am sure this community will as well. We need each other now.

While I am reading the horrible news that you left the earth sometime this morning I am going through all the memories and flashbacks of specific moments that your music inspired me, helped me, and become who I am in some ways. It all started with "I wanna be your lover" that I had on a tape, and I used to listen to that till my brain exploded. The album lovesexy was the most exciting thing I used to believe I ever held in my hands. My hands were always shaking of excitment whenever I took the record of the sleeve. This excitement became an addiction of your music. As a fan I understood shortly after you got to be addicted to fully grasp your music and find ways to find unreleased music. My memories span from spending days in London during school exchange programs hunting for your bootlegs and being totally ripped off as a teenager, meeting obscure fans that walked around dressed like Batman and talking about you for 24 hours, watching the video to "Scandalous" for days nonstop while mentally ejaculating and Gold Xperience when I spent months drawing your symbol on my front door as well as my final exam at univerity on your music. Thank you for the exciment and inspiration. Thank you for the explicit lyrics and the funk.

Since I saw the tear on your twitter avatar I knew this was a serious condition. It was not a tear because you cancelled the show. I was expecting the bad news but I was not expecting it so soon. I am sure you wasn't either. Maybe that's why I was not sleeping very well since the tear.

Another reminder to fellow orgers to not do anything irrational. I know this feels like the worse day ever. I love you guys, you're all so amazing. Lets keep the love going and not hurt ourselves over this.
