Phase 3 or Live Piano CD?

It's been speculated amongst fans there might be a phase 3, but nothing announced.
And Prince just announced a Piano & A Microphone Live Album.
But, which would you prefer be released first? Or if one of them is officially released in physical form, which one would you personally choose over the other?

For me, personally I like the idea of both of them. So it doesn't matter to me.

I would prefer the live album to be released first smile and Im hoping for a studio album as well whether it's phase 3 or something else. We seems to get 2 albums a year now so it's possible

Live CD first

Let Free Urself stay in the oven a bit longer (and hopefully he'll drop the HNR concept and let it be its own album)

Live CD. There's always going to be another studio album, and I'm not really a fan of the HITNRUN concept. From what I've heard and read, the piano tour has been one of the best things he's done in a long time.

In a perfect world, he'd release a live piano album, a live 3EG album from the small-theatre tour (those early London shows were insane), and then a new studio album.

It depends on what songs are on Phase 3. If it was like phase one, then I'd take the live album. If it was more like phase 2, then I'd take the studio album. Ideally, the live album would be packaged with Phase 3 though...

Live CD with loads of promotion, TV performances, ongoing tour and eventually a DVD, followed by a new album. Not a chance, I know. So half arsed release of a live album that weill cost me £30 to buy so that Prince can get £6 and get rid of the middleman.

Phase Three, since the images on Prince's twitter page indicate it might be based on the Lovesexy era! Phase One begins with a teaser of For You, then fast-forwards through his hits until Million $ Party, and then the albums go back in time... it's such a cool concept and should be better appreciated as a collection.

Both should be released on the same day!

.

A live blu ray would also then be good later in the year.

Phase III

I liked the first two singles and I'm curious about it.

The Live cd, ok, I'm happy to hear it, but I think it could be similar to the One Night Alone cd2. More a celebration than other.

Phase three for me. If the live cd was anything but this tour I would say live but I genuinly hate this tour and will not buy a live cd of it. I am not even downloading the free bootlegs of it and thats a first also. I have a feeling there will not be a Phase three anymore

Live Piano CD please.

Phase 3 (hopefully accoustic) must wait.

Bring on Phase 3
Prefer studio recordings
to performance recordings
Live recordings grow old real fast

Phase 3. I much prefer studio recordings over live.

Hi-yo Silver, it's The Bone Ranger!

I am sceptic.. because Prince has never released other than mediocre live albums..

a shame since he is a great performer, and a huge mystery why he choose so badly... ?

To be honest, neither. I think Prince should take a break and not because he fell ill recently. Just take a break. He's such a legacy artist, an icon in the music business, that everything he releases is just not celebrated as it should be. Nothing he relases is looked forward to. As mysterious as Prince really tries to be, he's actually always around. He's realeased four albums in one year, released a bunch of random singles and toured two or three times. I'd prefer him to do a "mini" David Bowie and go missing for about three years. Create some genuine mystery and make people miss him.

Or maybe it's me who should take a break from Prince.
