If you'd listen to the song...he says, "U make me make my funky face. U got me looking like Edward G. Robinson up in this place."

lol my favorite part

such an under rated song... and lyrically. it's pretty damn good for a funk song. im sure if this song wasn't released in "2006" and maybe "1986" more ppl would be giving it credit lol

I wish more people would hear that. Oh, well. dancing jig

Is the mp3 version (3:18) an edit of the FLAC version (3:27)?

Awesome! I've always LOVED Black Sweat. I'm excited to listen to this. I'll have to buy it later tonight. I'm always happy to support Prince.

I hear the preview of this live track and, like the previous other two: only I feel the sound quality quite poor?

I like this MUCH better than the original on 3122. It's missing that god-awful, annoying squeal. Most any song sounds better without a representation of bad car brakes. This new live one I can listen to and enjoy, the oldie on 3121 is completely unlistenable due to that squeal.

I agree. I'd rather buy a physical copy than stream a free one. I always liked Black Sweat so I'm glad to see it get a bit more recognition.

you can buy a flac of it aswell

I'd never pay for a download. Physical things, I'd gladly pay for. But never a download.

Have you heard the Versace Experience version? (I think that's what it was called.) It's the best.

The groove on this was unreal. My favorite part of the show. Loved the intro about his pops too. Actually too funky

It's pretty cool. The squeal is still there but it's not nearly as prominent. Lots of funky shit going on...pretty damn cool. There's a decent version of kiss right atfer it too...little Versaces parade made me chuckle a little...along with desperate housewives.

That shhh version as a little off...it flowed with the rest of the mix sonically... But summin was just off even tho I like parts of it. sad,.. the look tonight and smell tonight part...I liked that. Cool little chill geetar solo too...

Thanks for hippin to me to that bro...gratzi!

So excited about this as this was the song that got me hooked on Prince - when I saw that smooth funky video and heard it - I was an instant fan - even though I knew of his previous works this is the one that did it for me.

Thank you Prince for every note you left behind 💜

Does Prince sing on All About Money as he doesn't on the short clip? I even wondered if it was a Tidal error to list under Prince lol

Mr. Edward G. Robinson

I remember Prince talking about "make that funky face" and referencign Edward G Robison during the Atlanta show but couldn't remember which song it was. I guess it was this one.

Streaming is much easier and you can just put your device into your dock and have perfect sound. You can listen to tons of albums if you like and you don't even have to buy. I'm sure it's also more environmentally friendly. If we all only bought vinyl and cds, gee that's a lot of un-biodegradable stuff on earth. But each to his/her own of course.

Not always.
