Prince and Stevie Nicks song "Stand Back"

What role did Prince play in this song ? Did he help write it? Or play any instruments on it? Its one of my favorite 80's songs

Stevie Nicks was inspired by Little Red Corvette, so she wrote an original song using the chord progression from LRC. She talked to Prince about it since she used the chord progression and he came in and recorded a keyboard part. That's about it.

Never understood why this incidental piece of fluff keeps coming back again and again.

It's like the Prince playing Glastonbury story. Some people's heads are on a loop. Madness, really.

It keeps coming back because with reportedly minimal effort, he helped craft one of someone else's biggest hits. And, all of this during his biggest popularity (1999/PR).

It's legend.
