Lesser known songs that are still good: "Into the Light"

What do we think about "Into the Light"?

I know I dig it. The way he sings it is cool. "Even a baby knows...as sure as the candle burns...every soul must return...Into the Light"

Some good lyrics, too. This is one song that he could incorporate into his setlist for the Piano and a Microphone tour.

Love this tune! Goes great with "I Will". They don't seem to fit on Chaos and Disorder, but that doesn't matter much. It WOULD make a great addition to the Piano and Mic tour. Is that Rosie on vocals?

I love this song .I just wish it was longer and had a better ending .the song just seems so out of place on "chaos and disorder"

Truly a good tune, LOVE this one for sure, but I'm also a big fan of most of this album as well.

The suite "Into The Light/I Will" is one of the lost P's great achievement.

If it was a track on the "Symbol" album it would be now remembered as a strong classic.
Unfortunately it is not, because of the album and era background.

Amazing song, definately in my top 10 Prince songs of all time.

And Rosie really shines on this and I Will. Rosie and Prince together are a match made in heaven.

On my metaphysical playlist this, together with I will is no. 1. Only complaint, needs an extended version.

People don't talk much about Act of God on 20Ten but I like it. Good lyrics, message and music.

Solo doesn't get a lot of love, but it's a very decent piece of alternative music.

New World too. Great lyrics, completely different vibe but good all round.

Colonised Mind - super dark track doesn't get a lot of love here.

Cinnamon Girl - poppy yes, but stark message, great lyrics and music

The Love We Make do you consider it a lesser song?

Lesser known, yes. Hold off on talking about that song; that's another one I love. I'll make a thread on that one sooner rather than later.

This thread is about "Into the Light"! What do you think about this song?

Act of God
The Love We Make
Into the Light
I Will
This is beginning to
look like a great playlist.
Maybe include The Word
& The Work

Into the light is a nice track, but I consider it to be any one of the many nice tracks, it does not stand out for me. Not a track that I will search for in my library to play, but enjoy it when I play the album.

214 You have to get the C&D album then. Considering your other comments on certains tracks I know you're gonna love this one. It's a must have.

But pretty similar to the birth of Quentin H. Mullisch's Discovery of Heaven. And that is no self help book.

I've just heard this song this weekend, it's a nice song specially the chorus but it's not that great. I like much more I Will that's quite a great song.

Bluu

"Into the Light"--very solid tune. Together with "I Will" it makes a powerful compound piece.
