Did Prince write any songs about Kim Basinger?

I know Prince co-wrote songs for Kim Basinger's first solo album.

Has he written any songs about Basinger like he had written songs about other past ex-girlfriends?

I have a feeling the songs he written in late 1989-late 1990 were at least influenced by his relationship with Kim Basinger (e.g. "The Grand Progession", "Thieves In The Temple").

Which songs do you think that Prince co-wrote?

It might be worth reading this thread:

'The Grand Progression' dates back to 1987

Ah, ok, thanks for the link.

I thought Prince was involved with Kim Basinger's album because his image was on the CD cover.

Indirectly, yes.

Here Eye Come (from Bria Valente's album Elixr) mentions "the dirty blonde from 9 1/2 Weeks..."

Pretty cold, huh? biggrin

i've listened to kim's album and i'm still on the fence as to what (if any) prince input there was - there are some very princely parts to the prduction. if he was involved i imagine he spent very little time on it and more on her!

Prince had absolutely nothing to do with that crappy album.

Only there's no CD cover at all, it's a bootleg.

Nonsense. For one thing there is no doubt whatsoever as to whether Prince contributed or not. IIRC it was clearly said by the people involved (no source sorry, that's out of memory but I've read it here, maybe check the link provided by Langebleu) that he had not, and for another the production standards of this unreleased album were totally generic by comparison to P's 1989 production standards. There were "princely" parts to nearly every dance or R&B records released in the second part of the 80's, but P's typical signature sounds is something else entirely.
