Would you like to see Prince collaborate with Paul McCartney?

I saw an article about Jimi Hendrix sending a telegram to Paul McCartney about forming a supergroup with Miles Davis. It's a great shame that this never happened, even if it was just for an album that would've been so amazing

But anyway, this got me to thinking

Do you think a Prince/Paul McCartney collaboration will ever happen?

I hope not.

I really appreciate overall the work of Paul, but his latest albums are not something to write about.

I think a collaboration now would be "out of time". Maybe in the 80's, but not now.

No

I don't understand how someone could be in a position where they could make something historic happen and they simply choose not to pursue that possibility

...no matter what, as long as the outcome is refreshing, weird, unexpected and strange. wink

Wouldn't it be better, if Paul invites Prince to collaborate on a Paul song ? imho...

I'd also like Paul to work with Wendy & Lisa. smile

2 of my favorite artists. But their heads are far too big for one room. I don't think it would work out well.

I loved McCartney's duo with Michael Jackson "Say Say Say". That's a great pop song in my book.

But yes, Prince would have probably been better to collaborate with Lennon had he not been murdered.

But McCartney is a huge Prince fan, checking out his concerts, and Prince is apparently a Beatles fan by covering Long and Winding Road and Come Together in the recent past.

I'm not going to enter in the debate who is better, John or Paul (answer: Paul), but after Yoko

John would have been more equipped to handle Prince.

You're wrong about Paul's recent work. He's enjoying a rare career renaissance, his last 3-4 albums have been top notch. Maybe a pointer there for Prince, who goes about wearing his own t-shirt and doesn't even realize the irony.

I don't think it would happen on record. Prince might pop on stage and help out with a song, or vice versa.

I think their styles are too different. Each are amazing in their own realms, but it would be too weird for them to play together, IMHO.

Yes but only if they did a remake of Paul's Frog Chorus song and both men have to dress as frogs in the video.
