You're right, I didn't remember the live renditions, probably I didn't listened to any of these concerts.

Anyway, what was in my mind was a studio version with a beginning only piano and voice evolving in a rock ballad string-laden and with a strong guitar solo ("Purple Rain" kind of).

Probably I have too imagination. lol

I wonder how much involvement he had in the leaked version by Margie Cox featuring Tony M. Random and in a bizarre way I quite like it.

If that's the way you feel, you'd better stop listening to pop music altogether. There's nobody in pop music that hasn't been influenced by them in one way or another. Even James Brown covered Something. That's a song I'd like Prince to do. Or Get Back...
