It's not bad distorted, but somtimes you here a glitch that's not supposed to be there. that's why I hope for a physical release. without these distortions I wouldn't mind having a digital release only and burn it myself, like I did with CI

If teh audio doesn't clip in the FLAC then why should it clip on the CD?

The only explanation is that the audio (mp3?) was manipulated before it was burned to CD-R.

I've downloaded it as mp3 from the Tidal store and burnt it immediatly to CD

Why did you download it in mp3 quality? You can get it in flac or wav also.

People do not know FLAC that well.

I have this all the time with recent downloads. when I listen to the sticky like glue rehearsal on my ipod it sounds amazing, when I put this on cd (to have it also in phycical form) it's distorted heavily. Don't know why this is;

Assuming your CD-player is in good working order the mp3 audio has been 'amplified' before being written to the CD. This may be an option that you can turn off. (do not normalize, amplify or process the audio in any way if you want to avoid issues like these)

Okay. I've changed my mind about Prince's twitter idea to have fans sell to fans. I'll order 1,000 copies (at wholesale) and sell them on ebay. Call me up, Prince. (Caveat: I have to have the first 1,000 copies and in advance of any traditional release.)

So far 3 PHASE 2 cd's have been sold yesterday already on eBAY all over $100 including shipping...

I like this. Let the official cd just be a cool collectible. At least it has a couple of good songs on it. Usually Prince fans are overpaying for Tony M tracks.
