The beat of "Nasty Girl" is arguably the best beat prince has ever written...It's intoxicating. My tears have dried. Now Eye'm in celebration of the most beautiful woman Eye ever seen. Eye'm happy Eye was able to help her; Now @ peace with it.

It upsets me that Mj use to get a good laugh out of that performance. He would repeatedly play it for guest of his for laughs. Smh I knew James never cared much for prince & I believe Mj knew that.

Anywho R.I.P.

It's hilarious, though. Even as a fan watching that, the whole thing is funny and cringeworthy. Especially the glove being thrown back. I read that he played Under The Cherry Moon in his theater for a laugh too, LOL!!!

EYE don't find ANY of it funny AT ALL! Did MJ know he was the laughing stock of my community with that acting performance in the "Bad" video? Acting along side Wesley Snipes on that bus being teased? It was hilarious! Anywho R.I.P MJ...

I'm sure MJ didn't give a fuck about being a laughing stock in your community over a music video that is still considered iconic to this day. I can tell you this much, though: Prince sure did care about being the laughing stock in the UTCM movie, and the Graffiti Bridge movie, and the 3 Chains O Gold movie. It was hilarious! Anywho R.I.P KCOOL. lol lol lol

-// MJ cared a hell of lot about the black community when white people wanted to stuff him under the jail cell door but look who is alive and well and selling 400 dollar concert tickets and who is six foot under.

Yes that was the poster that was in mine. I think it was only in the first 100,000 copies. there wasn't a sticker on the album saying a poster was included. I was a teenager back then so you can imagine how happy I was smile For 1982 that album was very explicit and ahead of its time. There wasn't female singer in R&B or Pop singing about wanting 7 inches or more

I was so happy when I saw that poster inside.I always preferred the albums because of the pictures inside. But I bought the cassettes to because I had a BIG BOOMBOX also.

It was no other women like Vanity back then. She was a innovator & it didn't seem forced. She was so natural @ it. She just oozed sexuality. I couldn't keep my eyes off of her whenever she was on the screen. prince was right! She knew she was fine.

Chapter 4: PAWNS

pg 56

Vanity's badmate Susan Moonsie, who for several years had been the closest thing to Prince's true girlfriend, refused to tolerate thsee shenanigans and withdrew from the romantic sweepstakes. Rather than play the wounded ex-lover, she forged a friendship with Vanity, and while her relationship with Prince remained strong, it was of a platonic nature. But in the eyes of some colleagues, the end of his romance with Moonsie eliminated an important grounding influence from his life. "She was never frantic about him," said Bennett. "She knew who he was, what he was up to, and she wouldn't take his shit."

Diary/Journal from 1983:

Assuming that is genuine, think it is? If you click on enlarge for pages you can see mention of Apollonia, etc ''she also spilled about Apollonia and her drinking problem not a good sign......'' The writing does look like hers anyway.

Just finished reading Nikki Sixx's (Mötley Crüe) autobiography, The Heroin Diaries...the many candid and disturbingly dark stories from Sixx, and other band members, about the level of Vanity's drug abuse and self destructive behavior are so sad...now i see why she couldnt make it through Purple Rain...poor baby...smh...i hope she found peace b4 she passed...

It seems Susan Moonsie taking a higher ground smoothed it out really well.
It seems she wasn't 'taken/enfatuated' with Prince in a way that would have caused drama.

It seems back then then all seemed to work really well together.
I don't think I've read or heard any stories from then about any static.
(Sheila E during 1987-88 was having a hard time though)
