Adore v Revelation(s)

Revelation(s) doesn't need the complexity and vocal gymnastics of Adore to equal it's intoxicating passion, because by the time Revelation(s) gets to the mid point, you're hitting it and cuming up for air realizing that all the mumbo jumbo about fallen empires are just metaphors for ravashing his beloved like a conqueror.

Both are clearly his two greatest love songs.

Revelation is a good prince ballad, but it aint in the same league as Adore or nothing compares to u.I even like Scandalous more. If you compare it to some of his more recent songs, then it is brilliant!

Revelation ranks right up there for sure! Instant classic ballad

However Adore will always be #1

It's a little early to make such grand declarations but glad you like it that much.

Revelation is a stunning song, but come on. Adore is ADORE.

I'm so tired of this kind of drum pattern Prince uses for his ballads over and over again.

Adore is sexy AND has a sense of humour.

Revelation has a VERY ANNOYING HORN.

In my mind, Adore was sung at the wedding, and Revelation was sung at the renewal of the vows/promise. mushy

Both but, Adore.

I like Revelation, it's a good song and all, but Adore is motherfucking Adore. It's one of the best songs of all time.

Many classic slow ballads have the same pattern

EVERY prince ballad is a seductive MaStErPiEcE! That stands alone on their own. They've even won him a couple of grammmy's...

It's hard for me to compare songs because each song makes me feel good in a different way.

Adore's lyrics probably win over Revelation, but Revelation is so sexy. Adore gives me romance and Revelation gives me foreplay. I could immediately tell what kind of song Revelation was gonna be from the first couple of seconds.

Right, and that's the reason, why I can't stand it being so prominent anymore. Do something, be a little bit more creative! Prince: Gimme that drum pattern! It's time for another classic Prince ballad.

"Revelation" is a really good song.

"Adore" is an absolute masterpiece.

Here's the answer.

I find Revelation to be a snooze-fest. I can't get into it.
It's good bedtime music, though. Puts me right to sleep! I'll use it when I'm having trouble sleeping.
