Latest Prince tweet

Someone has just asked prince on Twitter what his solution to the touts issue is and his response was 'a Paisley Park residency'. Which is brilliant for anyone who lives in Minniapolis, but what about everyone else?
When the ticket sales for the European were cancelled because of touts and then the whole tour was as well with no official word from prince I thought 'that's it, he's starting a new crusade, which means I'll never be able to see prince again. He's not going to win the battle against touts on his own and I'm not going to travel to a city where he's playing and queue in order to maybe get some tickets'. So, is this final step into Prince's complete isolation from the few remaining fans?
Please mods, don't move this to the concert forum - there is no discussion in that forum anymore.

The ticket sale was postponed due to touts then he postponed the European tour due to the Paris events.

Acts ike U2 cancelled their tour altogether as far as I know, maybe this piano tour will never happen but your reading of the events is inaccurate and overdramatic.

The Eagles of Death Metal are playing with U2 in Paris, so public events are taking place there again. So nothing is stopping Prince from taking up his piano tour. Unless he has abandoned the whole idea already. Which wouldn't surprise me one bit. bored2

The tour is not happening. Whether he made that decision before or after the Paris attacks we'll never know.

I don't have twitface so maybe somebody could ask him if he's willing to give more than three hours notice and issue tickets for his shows so people from other areas are able to come to Paisley Park?

Damn Prince....it's not rocket science.

Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.

A Paisley residence would be fine, if it was a sure thing. Put the schedule out there, and adhere to it. None of this "he might play, he might not". It would have to be guaranteed (for the most part, like an actual concert venue).

I just went to his concert here in Detroit in April, and it seemed that the credit card entry scanners did a good job of preventing scalping. Not sure if the European venues are better or worse, but it's a legitmate concern for Prince.

Okay, so what's your response to Prince's actions: inviting journalists from Europe to royally announce his piano tour, then realizing: "Oh my god, the touts are still there, even after thirty years! I'm going to like vaguely postpone my tour..."

And then opting for the PP residency. Via a tweet.

Exactly. The States and everywhere not Europe had to take the news of a tour on the chin. If this Paisley Park tour is for real, it's just your turn.

Again, he postponed the tour after the Paris attacks. You seem to keep forgetting to mention that. The tout issue isn't something he just realized. From what music industry mags have been saying in recent months though it has gotten substantially worse in Europe. So much so that the UK had to introduce legislation to help address it.

Change it one more time..

My advice, Lotsa Lube..
lol
Prince did an interview with a woman at Record World. They talked about whatever, then he asked her: "Does your pubic hair go up to your navel?" At that moment, we thought maybe we shouldn't encourage him to do interviews.

Ticket sales were 'postponed', then no more word. Then the Paris Attacks.

If the touters: his promoter could have told him this, plus if he hadn't just realized this he should have come up with something BEFORE throwing press conferences etc.

If the attacks: u2 have already performed twice, where is Prince?

Oh, I know: he is putting tweets out there and then deleting them.

Seems he has plenty of time on his hands to go picket outside the WB building himself.
He could even throw a free concert in the parking lot. He did that once in ' 91.

I couldn't be less of a U2 fan, like everyone with little interestin that iTune library polluting band, I read they cancelled their tour altogether.

So they haven't. Thank you for the info, no need to act like I'm a major news agency (psst: you're also just someone a small forum site).
