I don´t mind the fro and his weird, retro looking outfits but I was looking at some old Prince pictures from the early 90s last night, the era when he would wear very classy and elegant looking things like during the Diamonds and Pearls era, and I wonder what he´d look like if he started wearing such stuff again, with an hairdo like the one he had on the Lopez show. Now THAT was a cool look.

Prince still looks very young for his age, it´s just the fro and his hippy-esque clothes that make him look a tad old.

To me, the afro and bell-bottoms simply tie in with him playing a Sly Stone set every concert for years and years, trying to be a legend of an era he simply was not legendary in. When he sings on "June" that he should have been born on the Woodstock stage, it just sounds like he wishes he was part of that acclaimed baby boomer/hippie era, instead of blowing up in the nineteen eighties. It is certainly confusing when he marches on stage talking about "old school" looking like a decade prior to his debut. I GET that he is inspired by it, but anyone watching.. it just makes him look older than he really is.
